Monday comedy is s fire. Starts with 5 pro comics and then opens to a variety of new comics. Kevin the bartender is a treasure.

A classic neighborhood irish dive bar, Happy hour runs daily from 2-7pm with great drink specials—perfect for an early evening unwind or pre-game. This is the kind of bar where you probably shouldn't expect friendly or fast service, especially if the bartenders don't recognize you as a regular.
Noticed they use fresh-squeezed grapefruits, oranges, lemons, and limes for their cocktails giving them a refreshing taste, a pleasant surprise, although it also makes service really slow during peak hours.
The covered back patio is a unique perk compared to other bars in this area (heated and dog-friendly in spots), ideal for when the Richmond fog rolls in or on rarer sunny days.
It's prime for sports watching with multiple HD TVs and a big projection screen—great for Giants, 49ers, or Warriors games.
They host events like stand-up comedy nights (I think trivia has been on pause but might return), so check ahead for a lively crowd.
Street parking can be tough, but it's conveniently on the 38 Geary bus line.

The Blarney Stone Bar is a fantastic neighborhood Irish pub with a lively, welcoming vibe, quick and friendly service, and a great selection of beers and cocktails. We always go there to catch a game on TV, enjoy fun bar games like shuffleboard and air hockey, or relax on the outdoor patio with friends. They have a mix of good drinks, tasty food, and a fun, laid-back atmosphere, it’s a spot I’d highly recommend for any occasion.
Dogs are allowed in here for those wondering! Friendly people-- they seem to have a lot of usual customers. There's an outside patio area in the back as well

Blarney Stone Bar has that classic neighborhood pub vibe that makes you feel right at home. The atmosphere is laid-back and unpretentious—perfect for catching a game, grabbing a drink with friends, or just unwinding after a long day.
The drink selection is solid, with a good mix of beers on tap, reasonably priced cocktails, and a few surprises depending on the night. The bartenders are friendly, fast, and know how to pour a proper drink.

The Blarney Stone Bar in San Francisco is a true hidden gem, an English pub vibe with an Irish soul. From the moment you walk in, the warm, laid-back atmosphere pulls you in like an old friend. Guinness on tap? Perfectly poured. Fresh-squeezed grapefruit for palomas, margaritas, and gimlets? A total game-changer.
And then there’s Tori, our bartender, an absolute delight. Down-to-earth, attentive, and full of good vibes, she made the night feel like we were regulars, even if it was our first visit. Her service was seamless, and she added that special touch that turns a good bar into a favorite one.
Whether you're there for the cocktails, the draft beer, or just some solid company, Blarney Stone delivers. We’ll definitely be back, cheers!

Nice Irish bar
One of the best bars in Clairemont. One of the better Irish bars in San Diego. They take their time pouring a Guinness which is exactly what’s needed to make it right.
And the place is packed when there’s live music.
Never left a 1 star review before!
We were a group of 5 people who went in around 1:15am. Bar was empty, and upon walking in the bartender said “what makes you think we are open?” (At this point all 5 of us had not entered the bar we were walking in)
We looked at him in confusion and he asked again “I’m counting cash here and the curtains are drawn, what makes you think it’s ok for you to come here?” (bartender was counting cash on the counter and door was not locked. There was also someone grabbing drinks at the far end of the bar)
I apologized for coming in when they are not open and said we will leave. After apologizing and saying we will leave, I told him the only reason we did walk in was because the sign outside and their google hours say open until 2am - which is why believed they were open. (The sign outside literally said open, had listed their hours open until 2am, and the door was unlocked.) I turned to my group and said we gotta go and we all began to walk out.
At this point I realize this place is advertised as open but I am thinking the bartender might just be ready to call it quits on a slow night. But as we’re leaving the bartender began shouting at us “once you start signing my paychecks I’ll listen to you” as we were walking out. He followed this comment with racially charged slurs directed at (seemingly) members of my group.
I don’t mind if all of your signs/website/google maps info state that you are open and you are in fact not. We walked in, were told it is closed, and we began to leave immediately. The entire interaction lasted less than 60 seconds.
However, it is completely unacceptable to be rude to people, especially with charged and inappropriate subject matter, who were courteous and respectful of your business.
I do not recommend this establishment to anyone for a variety of reasons, chiefly among them the fact that they hire miserable people who have nothing better to do than be rude, uncivil, and discourteous to people.
Great atmosphere! Fantastic bartender!
Great bartender!!
