I don’t mean to brag, but as a visitor to San Francisco with an exceptionally high expectation for bars (as an nyc native and boston resident), this is my favorite bar. Scores all three zip codes. The drinks, the bartenders, the food? Come on. They’ve set the bar too high. Love sports, booze, and food? You’re welcome for this recommendation - The Blue Light.

I walked in and was calmly greeted by Santa's adorable pit bull. I ordered a hot toddy, but unfortunately, the cloves were overabundant. Bartender apologized, made me another, and bought me a round. Fish tacos and nachos both very good. I'm don't get to the Marina much, but I'd definitely return to Blue Light.

A great, unpretentious sports bar. TV's are plentiful, and any game you want is either on or can be requested. Staff is friendly and fast. Food is simple, yet satisfying - the epitome of what good bar food should be. Prices are reasonable, so you can watch the game rather than your tab balance - no post game buyer's remorse. This was my first time there and I'll definitely be going back.
