the cutest restaurant with amazing decor, food, and service. the waitress was super nice in letting us know what options are vegetarian. the white bean salad was genuinely SO delicious, the chips and guac was super good with the freshly made chips, and the spinach and artichoke dip was heavenly. the ambience inside was lovely and the bathroom was very clean. I loved this place!

A couple of weeks ago, I had an upsetting experience where the host or manager completely ignored me. While I was speaking to her, she turned her head away to assist another group that had arrived after me. This left me feeling utterly worthless, a feeling I had never experienced to this extent before.
Terrible service every time I go
Bartender and his wait staff just talk and giggle behind the bar and ignore customers. As if we can't see you standing there chatting? Way over the top
Always have to ask for check refills etc. Basic service not there
If you're too cool to be a waiter then maybe quit and do something else?

Perfect brunch spot. They recently redid the inside and it’s beautiful and sleek. The staff was incredibly nice and very helpful. But you’re coming here for the food and every bite is worth it.
The recommendations:
First and foremost, all dishes are quite large, so be mindful
Highly recommend brunch cocktails. They do a fantastic job. Fair warning – if you do the spicy margarita, it IS spicy. They infuse their tequila with jalapeño and habanero so it definitely packs a punch.
Frittata- large, full of little extras either great flavor.
French toast - massive portion. Highly recommend splitting this as a sweet option for the table.
Burger – sloppy and fantastic. It did get a little soggy at one point, but the flavor made up for any of the drips.
BLTA - I added smoked salmon to this one which I highly recommend. The bread is fantastic and the overall sandwich is very hardy.
Awesome spot. Will definitely go back!
Kid-friendliness: Would not recommend children here

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of booking a reservation here for Valentine’s Day. Our reservation was at 8:00 PM, and we arrived at 7:50 PM. We spoke with the host, assuming our check-in was complete. The host informed us that we needed to wait about 15 minutes, which was understandable given the busy evening. So, we stepped aside and waited.
After 20 minutes, the same host returned and told us our table would be ready soon, but after that, she disappeared. For the next 40 minutes, no one checked on us. When I finally spoke with another staff member, I was shocked to learn that our check-in had never been completed! This meant that our entire wait was for nothing, and we would have to start the process all over again.
It’s unbelievable that a restaurant could be so disorganized when it comes to managing reservations and guest check-ins, especially on a special occasion like Valentine’s Day. They completely ruined our evening and didn’t even attempt to offer a solution. If you don’t want your special day ruined, stay away from this place!

We visited this place for Sunday brunch, it’s a nice place mixed with a casual sports bar. Our waitress was friendly, and our food and drinks arrived promptly. The food was tasty, the French toast was delicious and the eggs Benedict were amazing. Definitely want to try more items from the cocktail menu, the marina fling is a favorite. We'll definitely return to try more of their menu offerings.

Absolutely love coming to the Brixton!! The server we always have (I forget her name) is always the sweetest and most attentive, despite it being crazy busy on a Sunday football night. Food is good and drinks are delicious. Definitely one of my favorite spots to visit on Union.

What a great discovery! Have enjoyed many great Bay Area restaurants and this ranks near the top. You’ll be glad you tried The Boston.

Martini & Margarita were great, but the food was either super salty, super sweet or way too cheesy. Presentation was well done, service was good, atmosphere was nice. Saw several solo female diners just enjoying a cocktail and reading. Playlist was bumpin!

it’s a shame because the food and drinks are good here. What’s shockingly bad is the service. From the the moment we arrived it was abysmal and absent. We had to wave people down for everything after sitting for a long time and not just once but for everything: water, for someone even to talk to us ever, to order drinks and food, no one asked how it was, we sat at the bar (we never saw the bartender at the end of the bar or spoke to him once, except the pay the bill, this was the same for other guests as well), 10 min after our food arrived we had to again flag someone down and ask for a napkin and silverware. The reason why myself and the rest of the restaurant and bar wasn’t getting any service was because the staff was all congratulating at the back together with eachother and seriously weren’t checking on anyone. Was so shocking I took a photo. At least the staff is having a good time while the customers aren’t .
Lia was AMAZING! So sweet and brought the energy up !!! Love the drinks here

We visited this place or Sunday brunch with friends. It's a lovely place, blending the atmosphere of a chic restaurant with a casual sports bar. The music was initially pleasant, though it did get a bit louder when they switched to a sports channel.
Our waitress was friendly and efficient, and our food and drinks arrived promptly. The food was tasty, though the chicken salad, while delicious, wasn't quite filling enough for my appetite. The French toast was quite good.
We'll definitely return to try more of their menu offerings.
