We found the old school soda fountain atmosphere of this place super charming, and decided to stop in. Once we did, we were pleasantly shocked to see they have a Hot Butterscotch on their menu. As hot chocolate fanatics, we were immediately intrigued by the Hot Butterscotch and decided to try one with their toasted fluff.
Wow! Despite never having a Hot Butterscotch, this hit all the notes we were hoping for! The toasted fluff topping was also amazing, and was nicely scorched, adding some caramelization flavor to the drink. I'm not sure if butterscotch isn't that popular or what, but I don't know why these drinks aren't more widely available.
If you love hot chocolate or butterscotch like we do, you have to try the Hot Butterscotch!
We'll definitely be back, as their ice cream flavors also looked fantastic.

I normally like this place. But today, I ordered a carrot cake, I can see a new carrot cake in the front, the employee went to the back and brought me my cake to go in a box. And I was happy. I got home, and he had given me probably an old cake. It was hard and not fresh. We won’t be buying our bday cakes, thanksgiving or anything here any more. You can’t do that to your loyal costumers.

Favorite chocolate milkshake in dark chocolate sorbet, 1/2 milk chocolate ice cream. Homemade whip cream is delicious. Beautiful cakes by the slice. Recommend.
Vegetarian options: Please please get the double chocolate sorbet and the coconut milk maple pecan ice cream even if you're not vegan. You will not be disappointed, promise. Maple pecan was rich and creamy, and sorbet was rich and super chocalatey without being too much. What a treat. Stopped at Hot Cookie on way home to grab a couple vegan ginger snaps to use as a spoon (great with chocolate not so much with maple pecan) What a treat!

Granted I can’t stop thinking about this rainbow cake, I’d go back… I’d consider driving through sf in traffic hour just to get another piece of rainbow cake… The frosting is the best part and I normally hate frosting.
My favorite ice cream spot in SF. The scoops are great whether in a bowl or one of their awesome waffle cones. They have some solid cookies and brownies, but I think their chocolate cake is excellent and always worthy of a to-go slice. Staff has been awesome, the place is always clean (bathroom included), and it's located in a cool part of the city. 5 stars all the way.
