Lovely ambiance, great food, and excellent service. We had dinner before an event, and the staff ensured we had plenty of time to make our event without feeling rushed. We will definitely be back again.
We visited The Cavalier in San Francisco and were immediately struck by its vintage charm. The décor has a gorgeous, moody elegance with rich red tufted seating that made the space feel like a classic old-style restaurant. We had a reservation for 6:45 p.m., arrived a few minutes early, and were seated right away. The staff was kind and patient, making us feel comfortable throughout the evening. We came here for our anniversary after selecting it mostly at random from a list of places we wanted to try. My husband and I were both blown away by how good the food was. I had expected that it was going to be good based on the reviews, but I didn't expect it to be as far above exceptional as it was. We had the tartare, smoked deviled eggs, Cavalier fries, grilled shrimp & octopus, and salmon. I don't think either of us could realistically pick a favorite dish....
