I loved the calamari here! It is so good. A lot of places can't get it right, but this place did!

Picnic tables at a food truck had a certain charm. The food was good and cooked fresh. We liked the fries especially. We had fish tacos which were moderate, but the fish and chips was excellent.

Went in January 2023. I don't live in the Bay anymore, but out of all the fish and chips places I've visited in SF, this is THE one. The best one. Not complicated, very straightforward fish fry. The beer batter is crispy beyond perfection and the cod is just tender and holds its juice very well. Fries are cut big. The best part is, you only need one order for two people. Their serving sizes are huge and well worth the money! Can't wait to go back! Delicious.

Everything was made to order. The Fish was fresh and the Tempura style batter deliciously crispy. I was in SF from Scotland and have ate plenty of Fish & Chips at home and during my trip and this was definitely the standout of all the places I tried in SF. I can not understand some of the other reviews about blandness. It's battered Fish & Chips folks.. and excellent at that.Portion Sizes excellent with plenty of fresh and crispy fries.

Nice place to eat for the price. If you picky about your fish, another higher price point place might be your choice.

Hot, fresh, generous portions from friendly faces. Fish was delicious and perfect. Chips were thick-cut, crispy outside, fluffy inside, but undersalted. Service was attentive and quick. We visited on an overcast rainy weekday, so there was plenty of seating available. Unsure of if this place gets crowded during better weather, but if so, it’s worth waiting in line.

Two perfect big white flaky fried fillets on a huge bed of fries came to $22. Large portion. Nice batter on fish. Fries were thick but crunchy and moist, delicious. Addictive shouldn't have finished fries but I did. This could feed two light eaters or get a second set of fillets without fries for 15 and save a little. Fries were next level

You can't go wrong at The Codmother, the food here is always delicious and prices are more than reasonable for the area. The menu is not hugh and everything we have had here has been delicious. Here's our order for a family of four, wife and I split two fish tacos and the shrimp & fish combo, for my kids one chowder in a bread bowl and one without, they share the bread, it's plenty for all and it's so good and fresh. This is a must go to, a few blocks from the pier, but worth the walk. Oh and it's dog friendly, score!
