Coffee is tastey. Food is nothing special. Your in SF. Hit up a bakery like Jane's the Baker if you want pastry. Pretty unbelievable that this place doesn't have outlets to charge your phone.

So the coffee is on point. Everything else is mediocre. Place is good to buy coffee and bounce.

They take coffee to a whole new experience. They use quality beans, make quality drinks, and have quality staff (Shoutout Clara!). Definitely has become a neighborhood favorite for me!

Nice cafe. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Good coffee. I got a flat white. It’s not on the menu but they make a good flat white. Same price as a cappuccino.

got rizzed up by an assembly line of baristas and a solid cappuccino

an unassumingly sleek set-up to effectively manage the rush of customers

Really excellent coffee experience here, especially if you enjoy specialty coffee. Far and away my favorite spot in SF.

Would recommend giving the coffee flight a shot if you’re interested in a little variety. Baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable about the rotating list of coffees.

As far as location, this spot on Balboa was my favorite. Give it a shot!

They break the stereotype of mean baristas. Quality coffee without the cocky staff. 10/10

The atmosphere was nice, service was knowledgeable. Expectation size of cup from Expresso to a reg size cup ( no large cup) . There are not a lot of deserts or sweets must go to another location. Coffee flavor is ok. Price little high. Enjoy

The barista didn't freshly steam the milk for my cortado. 😐

I walked in. Ordered a cortado. They pulled the shot, then picked up a large frothing pitcher filled with previously steamed milk and poured it into the cup.

(When steamed milk is permitted to sit too long, the microfoam will start to disintegrate and bubble, preventing it from properly incorporating with the espresso. Steamed milk allowed to sit too long becomes too frothy, hence the striations where the espresso meets the steamed milk. ***The photo was taken as soon as they set the cortado on the counter.)

The entire process took under a minute. So, if you want fast coffee (this particular day, I didn't have to wait in line) then this might work for you.

But I made a special trip to San Francisco to try their coffee because I'd heard great things about The Coffee Movement.

It was sadly very anticlimactic and disappointing.

The following day, I went to The Coffee Movement on Washington. I waited in line for half an hour and received a delicious cortado. It was well worth the wait.
