Great place to hangout with friends! With so many games to choose from and several options of non-alcoholic drinks and vegetarian food options. Staff can be a little stern faced.
"Nori tots" were a little bland and "fried cauliflower" was flavorful but felt way too oily.
I had the corn dogs, tots, and played skee ball and it was super fun đ€©

Love the Detour, they have a great selection of craft cocktails on tap, boardgames for free play, and more than enough arcade games to keep you busy. The space uses moody, warm lighting to produce a cozy atmosphere. Bartenders are friendly and kind and there's always a fun event going on. Love!

If youâre looking for the perfect spot to gather with friends, The Detour is it! Every visit here has been an absolute pleasure. The service is consistently efficient, making us feel welcomed and well-taken care of from the moment we arrive. The food? Absolutely scrumptious. Each dish is packed with flavor, and you can tell the quality and attention to detail are top-notch. The drinks strike that ideal balance between strong and smooth, so they pack a punch without overwhelming your taste buds. The atmosphere is vibrant, energetic, and just sets the stage for a great night out. My friends and I love coming here, and itâs become our go-to spot for a fantastic time. Highly recommend!

Fun spot to hang out with friends. Grabbed a table and looked at the menu. Once we decided, we ordered at the bar. Waited to pick up our drinks which were reasonably priced for the city and decent. Got a buzzer for the food. Portion size for the snacks weâre on the small size but other dishes seemed reasonable. Arcade games were not sticky and they had something for each of us.

This place is all about the atmosphere! It's fun and takes you back to the 90's with a queer touch and snacks to try, definitely a bar to take friends to have a good time! You must be careful when changing coins and inserting it into the games, some do not indicate how many coins they need

Solid arcade if you're looking to play some old games, but bring your own quarters because most of their change machines were broken and a good amount of the games were also not working. They did have a good number of old school games to still make it a good time.
Most people are just there to drink and hangout in the front and not actually playing the game as well (not that it's a problem because it makes it easier to play).
I enjoyed playing some Mortal Kombat, NFL Blitz, and other games with my uncle that reminded me of my childhood. Cool spot overall. It would be cool if the games were more affordable - maybe an hourly game card?

Came here while visiting SF from the UK. It was our only our first full day of our trip in the US. The bar was very cool, lots of great arcade games that were really fun to play. However, one of the bartenders was very rude to us and it kind of soured our whole experience. As it was early in our trip, we werenât yet in the habit of tipping literally everywhere, unless prompted. It just isnât a thing in the UK (or anywhere in Europe!) unless youâre getting table service. We went to the bar to get our second drink of the evening and after we paid, the bartender that served us the first time ushered us over and said âif you guys donât tip again, we wonât serve youâ.
We were extremely taken aback, especially considering we hadnât done it on purpose. But the idea of being spoken to like that from someone who wants a tip just completely goes against the whole point of service charge!
Safe to say we didnât get a third drink and took our business elsewhere.
