I'm bewildered. The hotel and the restaurant are completely shut down, boarded up, why are they showing up as an open business?

I've been meaning to come here for a while, finally made it out and it didn't disappoint! Justin the bartender is fun and nice and makes a great cocktail! Highly recommend.

Went by for a late breakfast on a weekday afternoon and it was... just OK! It was a little slow; it had kind of a skeleton crew, which is maybe standard for weekday mornings. Food (pancakes and scrambled eggs) were pretty plain. The pancakes were good, the eggs were eggs. They've got vegetarian meatballs, which was nice. A surprisingly large # of SF breakfast/brunch places don't have any kind of faux protein, so it's good to have the option. Normally I wouldn't mind, but it was pretty expensive. You could spend 3/4ths as much to eat at Golden Coffee on the other side of the neighborhood, for example. Maybe they count on most of their diners being hotel guests who are in a spend-free mode? Anyway, can't recommend unless you absolutely need to get in and out fast (it was pretty quiet). Maybe dinner/drinks are more exciting.

The crowd is odd but the inside is unique

Cute atmosphere, great servings for the price. Got the avocado toast for $9, added the egg for $2, and it looked like there was a whole avocado on the toast, and not typical skimpy portions. My boyfriend got the breakfast sandwich and it was massive as well. The tater tots were hot and crispy, and the sandwich came with all the fixings. Bread was soft and perfect. Great little hotel restaurant.

We ordered only two small snacks and drinks before going out to dinner. Our food took 30 minutes to come out- keep in mind we only ordered olives and tater tots. We saw the chef talking at the bar with the bartenders and taking shots with them in the back before he bothered preparing our food. As a restaurant manager who's married to a chef, we don't know how anybody can have a positive experience here. Get your act together, Robert.

I haven't been to this bar in 2 years. It has changed hands since the last time I was here. The people and service are fine now but it is not the old place I like. The big let down was the Philly Cheese steak is off the menu. It's a ok place now but if you like the old place don't go back .. it's not the same.

We hosted a little dinner party here in the backyard patio space a week ago and it's such a great space! Jackie helped me with reserving the space and Samuel the bar manager took great care of us day of. We were a complicated event, not only did Samuel and another bartender had to keep going back there to check on us and to bring us our orders but we also had a bunch of people who were not invited to the intimate dinner but the after dinner bites and drinks portion. They were very accommodating and friendly and our guests had nothing but rave reviews. We were all in the hospitality business and being a planner myself I cannot recommend the space more! The backyard patio has music that can be hooked up, a fire pit, and string lights. The food, mhmm... my favorite thing in the world is tater tots and theirs are so crunchy and crispy and absolutely delcious. We ordered 5 orders of tots alone! They have a spicy shrimp noodle dish and there's a pretty strong kick if you can handle it, I cannot :( fried pickles here was a fan favorite and flying off the plates. P.s. they have an ice cream cart which we didn't partake in but wish we had! Definitely visit the Douglass Room as the bar bites are top notch and the drinks are even better. The bartenders know their stuff.

:( That is how I feel about this place. It appears to be pretty glamorous and decent on the outside. The inside is blah and you get a vibe that it's not gonna be good even when you walk in. I wasn't wrong. I went in for happy hour and got a mule. They were out of berries, and the drink was pretty subpar. While I was sitting and (kind of) enjoying my drink. I decided to try out this popcorn. Seemed pretty interesting... when it arrived it was disgusting. It was stale, burnt, the flavoring was awful. Yucky yucky. The bartender did take it off my tab and said I wasn't the only person to complain about it. Overall was unhappy with my experience.
