Great ice creams what more do you need to know. Worth the trip. We went on a rainy evening and it was still great.

The first Swensens in the whole wide world. It feels old. Definitely a cool place to get ice cream.

The place feels like a vintage icecream shop in a small northeastern coastal town when you step in. The seasonal flavor at the time was spumoni and I got that and I really liked it. Tasted a number of other flavors too and none of them were too sweet which is how I like it.

The first Swensens (!!!), of course gotta be here for a look! There are sooo many flavours and you can try all of them before deciding which one you love most! We all went for the junior scoop in a cone because honestly, America food portions are usually huge. I love the mocha fudge the most. The servers were patient too. Only takeaway option available :)
There are limited parking along the walkway, mostly for residential. We took an uber cuz it was easier.

Best ice cream in the City, 75 years family owned original and only Swensen's in the US. Delicious!
Wheelchair accessibility: They will put out a ramp if requested, the building is super old and small, no room for a permanent ramp

Wonderful, high quality ice cream at the original location. A must. Peppermint stick and thin mint are so good!

The first Swensen's branch in the world
There is nothing like it in Thailand besides the franchise name.
There are many flavors to choose from.
This way, try Caramel Marble, a caramel flavored ice cream. with caramel sauce poured over Comes as layers The texture of the ice cream is chewy.

Swensons is a must . Staff here work so hard and keep the line moving. It is walking distance from us and my husband is addicted. The Hyde Street cable car and #45 bus go straight there. 2 blocks from Lombard crooked street.
Parking: Parking is nearly impossible - in 6 months we have only been able to wait double parked. You need to walk.

A solid old school Ice cream Joint. The perfect place to grab dessert after a great dinner in the neighborhood. Moderately priced and delicious.
