The food here is always amazing. I went here recently for brunch on a Saturday morning. They were pretty packed, and I felt like the waiters forgot about us -- my buddy's breakfast sandwich didn't even come with all of it's standard ingredients. But I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt because it was weekend brunch time and because the food is consistently delicious. So they still they still get 5 stars from me!

Great place for a quick bite before/after the symphony/Opera/jazz show. There is something for everyone on the menu, the staff is kind and efficient and the food is really tasty. Definitely not cafe prices. Two people is easily $45+ without booze.

Great food. Counter ordering. My wife had a cup of chicken tortilla soup and a beautiful fruit plate. I had a fantastic corned beef sandwich on Jewish rye. Fast service. Reasonable prices. Would highly recommend.

Cozy, homespun atmosphere and genuinely friendly staff are just the beginning...the food at this restaurant is lovingly crafted and delicious to the point of rapture. Freshly squeezed orange juice, deliciously smooth coffee (an in-house blend that could ruin you on other coffees), and a selection of breakfasts that should please just about anyone. I had their New Yorker breakfast sandwich with rosemary hash browns... PERFECT. An SF must!

We live in Civic Center, and we love having The Grove in our neighborhood! Solid menu, never had a bad meal yet. Counter service, friendly staff, very consistent kitchen staff. Go show them some love, too!

A great selection of upscale diner fare. The fresh squeezed juices are not to be missed. Dark and rich ambience, lovely heated sidewalk tables.
