Excellent! This is my fav restaurant in San Francisco recommended by friends. My husband and I went and everything was incredible. Amy was lovely and so was our waiter (I wish I asked her name!) They accommodated a seed oil allergy as well as no sugar. Felt so taken care of. Loved everything we had — steak, halibut, cabbage, duck liver, etc. Hats off to the chef. I hope one day they will brine the duck w honey so I can have it because it looks divine. If you come to San Francisco, The Morris is a must!

Blew me away. I cannot wrap my head around how good the duck is. The texture is and the flavors are unlike any preparation of duck I've ever had in any cuisine.
The salad is perfect, the spiny lobster Crudo was so flavour packed and fresh, both being the perfect appetizers for the main event which was the duck.

This is an absolute MUST. I usually don't order duck places because I'm always skeptical if people can cook it right but someone brought me here and recommended it and indeed, it was perfection.
Then, as if it couldn't get any better the ice cream or some of the best ice cream I've had in my life. Sometimes when people do alcoholic ice creams it's too heavy on the alcohol and the texture is off or it's too hot in my throat, these guys really figured out how to extract the flavors of chartreuse without having the heat of it in your mouth. It was like heaven I'm never gonna stop thinking about it. The buttermilk ice cream is also excellent and I highly recommend just getting both scoops.

I cannot wait to come back here. I can imagine this being a stop on every San Francisco trip i take, i seriously was swept away.

We so enjoyed our time at The Morris. We ate well and the staff were exceptionally kind and impressive. Checking in, ordering, and dining were all pleasant. The outdoor seating arrangement was plenty warm and quiet, and it was ~57 degrees on a wet day. The duck was marvelous, ling cod and charcuterie were excellent, particularly the rabbit terrine. Chartreuse slushy was fun!

10 out of 10!
So glad I found this place during a recent visit to SFO. Ambience was lively yet ambient enough to enjoy dinner Conversation. menu is on the smaller side, but many delicious options. Wonderful service.

We started with the mushroom appetizer, duck hearts and salad. All were unique and perfectly seasoned. Bartender made my boyfriend a tequila cocktail, and I tried a glass of Syrah from Sonoma.
for the mains, my boyfriend had halibut with white beans and greens. Very rustic and delicious. I enjoyed the pork dish with beer sausage. Served with a wonderful mustard sauce and potatoes. We also tried the roasted brussels sprouts which were perfectly cooked. We both agreed this is one of our favorite dinners anywhere. Can't wait to come back again.

I found the dishes at the Morris to be inconsistent - some were amazing and others quite mid. Slushy was surprisingly a must get. The house wine was a unique concept and very smooth. Shinto pears were a miss but I’d go back just for the mushroom profiteroles. The halibut crudo left something to be desired. Morris sourdough and butter was one of the best dishes, which is saying something considering its bread and butter, and the duck confit just wasn’t for me. The New York steak was cooked extremely well and was the star of the show.

Had amazing lite bites and awesome well-balanced cocktails. Our server, Isaiah, was attentive and made some good recs on what to order. 👌🏽We didn't have reservations so we were seated outside but there were heat lamps that radiated just the right amount of heat. An amazing experience overly and I would definitely go back.

Great visit.. ended up doing the Duck. the Duck was amazing.. maybe best I've ever had. Going back again soon. Only did one cocktail. Maybe that's how I got to only about $75/person. ;-)

The food is too salty, not worth the price.

Just decent, and in a city with so many good restaurants, I wouldn't recommend spending as much as you will at Morris.

We were sat outside because it was a warm evening, and the inside also looked like a cozy vibe. The staff were lovely and attentive - our service was really good.

We had pork cracklings (just fine? some unique flavor for pork rinds), mushroom profiteroles (also just fine? really don't know what was unique here), the broccoli/squid (probably my favorite but also just so, so over-seasoned in salty broth that you could barely taste the squid itself), the stonefruit salad (also fine?), and the duck.

The duck was not great. Several other people have commented this, but it's *really* smoked, and the jus was not particularly flavorful - so it ended up just tasting like a smoked ham. I could barely get through it (we had a half for 2 people).

We had 2 drinks each and the total was ~$360 between the two of us. Quite a bit for a restaurant that was just good, not great.

The kind of place that is so good and so reasonably priced that you want to keep it as a secret. Come for the smoke duck, which is legendary, stay for the selection of aged wines, or the grilled squid, or the collection of Chartreuse. And did I mention the dessert of buckwheat donuts?

Excellent I will be back! The cured meats are wild and made in house. The donuts I dream about.

One of our favorite spots in SF! The food and service is always great and the wine list is excellent. And the experience is never rushed. We will continue coming back for years to come!
