Visited The New Spot on Polk Street for breakfast/brunch. Overall, it was an okay experience. Service was average, no mad notes, just nothing standout. I ordered a breakfast skillet and a lemon mimosa; both were decent. The biscuits were good, and the pancakes were definitely the highlight — really good and worth ordering. Everything else was fine, but nothing made me rush to come back. Solid spot if you’re in the area, but there’s room to elevate the overall experience.
First time coming here and oh man glad we did! Was walking distance from our hotel so that was nice. I had the breakfast burrito w chorizo 10/10. Very good BUT next time I would order it with no sauce on top as it was super messy to eat and the tortilla got soggy fast! My boyfriend ordered two scrambled eggs, potatoes, and biscuits and gravy. He loved it! Will definitely be back next time we visit SF. Service 10/10.
All I can say is that you all have to try this place. All the way around from the cooks to the servers, food portions to the food was all good. Only complaints it would be hard for someone who's in a wheelchair to eat there or use the bathroom.
