The menu is lacking in options and is absurdly overpriced.I opted for the breakfast table buffet which was $40/person. The food was absolutely horrible. The eggs are not fresh- they are made from a carton and taste like cardboard. The breakfast potatoes are undercooked and lack any flavour. The chicken sausages have an unsettling aftertaste and the coffee tastes like dog water. The “fresh baked croissants” are stale and clearly days old.Honestly food this bad at a hotel of this standing is outrageous. 0/10 would not recommend.P.S. they have flies buzzing around all over.

The fresh bakeries compel me to visit here every morning. The rest of the buffet is great too. But the crunchy pastries and coffee are beyond this world – absolutely amazing!

Christmas brunch was truly overpriced. Not worth it. Some food was nice and the service very good but very little Christmas atmosphere and way too expensive for the food available.

I was very unhappy with my experience. I brought a friend for her birthday. First of all, the tea service was not in the Oak Room. It should not be advertised that it. I expected this to be an elegant experience in one of the most iconic hotels in the City. It was not even close. The room the service was in was a conference room where the continental breakfast is served for the hotel guests. The holiday decorations were minimal. The food was sub par. The tea sandwiches were just ok. The roast beef sandwich was basically a toast. The bread was stale. The crab sandwich was also a toast and tasted just ok. The desserts were fine. The scone was ok. The menu states Devonshire cream would be served but only whipped cream was served. Big difference between the two. We asked for it twice but the waitstaff told us the whipped cream was Devonshire cream. The tea was fine and the champagne as well. Service was ok. I was really disappointed and just expected a lot more for the price. Not more food, just a more elevated experience.

I was there for the Thanksgiving Day Buffet. I was very disappointed that the oak room was closed for renovations and was not notified of this ahead of time. It was set up in a conference room. There was nothing festive in the room, no table decorations or room decorations. Our reservation was for 1:30. Much of the food looked like it was set out at 11 and was left out. The dim sum had steamed for 2 1/2 hours so was inedible and so was the ravioli. The whole time I was there I only saw the dessert table replenished. There was no bar service only wine. At $120 per person this was not worth it.

We booked the Oak Room at $120 per person for Thanksgiving expecting an excellent meal and experience which was sadly not the case, at all. First, when we arrived, the actual Oak Room was closed for renovation. There was no signage saying it had moved elsewhere in the hotel. I had to ask at the front desk and they weren't even sure. We eventually found the room, which was a crappy conference room with poor tables, bright lighting and moldy carpeting. It was also apparently where the hotel was also serving their breakfast for guests. The food itself was average. There was no wine service unless we asked. There was not table service but a buffet, which was so strange for the price. At the end, with a bottle of wine and one plateful of food, the bill was $300!!! My partner was livid and complained to the manager who gave us 20% off of the already outrageous bill. That made the total 280. I genuinely feel that this experience was price gouging and a bait and switch. Absolutely everyone should be aware of the “Oak Room” deals. An absolute rip off that should be reported.

Currently going through renovations (I assume) so the actual oak room is closed & the restaurant is inside of a large conference room.. definitely not the same feel. Hopefully reopens soon! The servers are wonderful!

A cozy place to meet with friends before a big night on the town, after a big night on the town or to just spend the entire time there for us introverts.

$33 breakfast buffet; if you come very hungry it will probably be a better calorie/dollar proposition than Denny's, and better food. Standard country club/hotel breakfast buffet selection, healthy. Excellent service.
