Not quite sure what all the hype is. Food was okay. Not horrible but not really a redo for us. The server placed My plate in front of me I started to eat even had a piece of bread on it that I had eaten off , came back and snatched my plate along with my Brad and said that's the wrong plate. It was given to somebody else... Yikes!. There were four of us and three of us were served at the same time. The fourth person's food didn't come till at least 10 minutes later. Probably not a redo for us. Maybe just a bad night, although there were maybe five tables being served in the entire place. Bar was okay. Beautiful bar. However they were out of certain call labels and it took forever to get a drink. May give it a second chance. Not quite sure. Definitely not a rush to return

First time guest. Loved it. The building was cool - you could feel the history. The food was delicious and the service was pleasant. Would go back. If it was located closer to downtown- it would be packed. When we were there (Sunday night), it was 1/2 full. I'm sure the closure of Candlestick Park bit into its revenue. Not much in area to bring you to the neighborhood but it deserves a special trip

Don't know his name but the Italian waiter is such a good host for the restaurant. And the rest of the staff, too. Very attentive to our needs.

Welcoming, nostalgic, and good food. I have been going to the Clam House for decades. It has had its ups and downs, but it is definitely on an upswing right now. The Italian hospitality was on full display.

We had the ciopino ($40) and caesar salad . We split both and the kitchen served it in 2 portions . The servings were ample and enough for 2. Service was good. The drinks could have been served quicker. We requested for a booth which gives a little more privacy .

We went to the old clam house for a birthday dinner for someone who loves fish. The other two people don't eat fish, but the menu is varied, so it worked for them. The fish was delicious, but the other two meals, the hamburger and the chicken Parmesan, were not very good. I had the , we're not very good. I had the risotto with crab and scallops. While pricey, it was very good.

Harming old restaurant. It takes you back to another period of time. The food was good. We had sole picture with fresh veggies that were yummy along with wild rice. Nice place
