What a fun place. Quirky with the whole entrance and then a classy interior. Managed to get reservations for two on Saturday afternoon for 5:30pm the same day.
Overall, the vibe and quirkiness isn't what would draw me back a second time, but the food is absolutely top shelf. Huge fan of the grilled octopus, in particular. Perfectly cooked. The sangria wasn't bad. Pretty good but not special enough that it's a necessity if you're not in the mood. Next time we'll start exploring the wine list more. The food was just too good so we'll be back again soon for the food and a bottle of wine.

Lovely spot! Tapas were decent, not the best - but after all they are tapas in SF not Barcelona. Staff is cute, love that they interact and sing and dance, our waiter was a little slow at getting us drinks and bringing the bill. But overall everyone was very kind!!

Unique speakeasy experience. Needed to pawn something in order to get in. Food was good. Sangria even better ?.

Had a blast here. Two celebrations and the staff entertained us with the tambourine. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, we had a bartender, he had a shirt bedazzled with a sparkling bird. He was truly amazing and made us feel like we were in a million dollars. #FunTime #FoodieLovers #BartenderExperience ??? #BirdBeadedTambourine ?

Fun and eclectic! I like the speakeasy entry, but not the interior theme.

1) this place is in the most dangerous and sketch area
2) place is not a pawn shop, misleading name

I recently visited The Pawn Shop, a unique restaurant in San Francisco, and had an exceptional customer service experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive, immediately guiding me to a cozy table. The ambiance was quirky and inviting, with the decor giving off an intriguing speakeasy vibe. My server was knowledgeable about the menu, offering insightful recommendations and making sure my dining experience was personalized to my tastes. The food was delicious, served promptly, and each dish was presented beautifully. Throughout the meal, the staff checked in regularly without being intrusive, ensuring everything was to my liking. The overall experience at The Pawn Shop was memorable, and the excellent customer service played a significant role in making it a delightful evening.

FUN FUN FUN ! The host was very Boy George, loved him and his exuberant attitude. The food was amazing !! My only complaint is that there was only wine available, but aside from that ,we had a blast !

The Pawn Shop in San Francisco is a mysterious spot. The allure of a speakeasy is spicy and it’s with a tapas-style restaurant, my favorite. Upon arrival, you might think you’ve wandered into an old pawn shop, but once the door opens, you’re transported into a vibrant and eclectic space.
The tapas menu is a standout. We started with the Patatas Bravas, a classic dish done to perfection with crispy potatoes and a spicy, tangy sauce. The Gambas al Ajillo were another highlight, with shrimp cooked in garlic and oil. Lastly, the Stracciatella cheese with peas was a refreshing and creamy dish. I loved everything.
The ambiance is unmatched. The decor is quirky and unique. And don't miss out on the extra experience at the end.

This is one of the coolest places in town. It’s a speakeasy, and you need to bring a souvenir to be allowed in. The atmosphere is top notch with dancing around the bar every now and then. All cocktails are wine-based which is quite unusual but we loved them (even though they were quite strong).
