I love this place. It’s a little gem. It’s out in the windswept gray corridor of Geary, but it’s warm and cozy and fun on the inside. Steve’s the owner and he works the bar and serves the food. Great guy. Talkative with a good sense of humor. There’s some regulars that are a really diverse group of folks. All of the staff are cool. I’ve had some great conversations there. The Pig & Whistle is a classic San Francisco pub with a cozy, traditional feel. It's a great spot to grab a pint and some classic pub fare like fish & chips or bangers and mash. The food is solid and the portions are generous. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is lively, especially when they have trivia night. If you're looking for a taste of a traditional pub experience in San Francisco, the Pig & Whistle is worth checking out.
