A far cry from NY pizza. Old cold pizza slices rattling the display case. When I asked if there was anything fresh coming out of the over, he said, “yeah, but you won’t be able to tell the difference between the stuff in the display case because we cool it before it goes in the case”. I was like, “ oh really”. I have no idea what that ment, then i saw the guy pull a half pizza from underneath the back prep counter. I’m not sure if it was on the floor and then put it into the display case. I guess that’s “cooling it” before it goes into the display case. I’ve never seen that in a New York pizzeria.
No surprise, the crust was dry. The pizza was, “eh”. The place had a lot of attitude. No napkins or topping on any of the tables. Don’t know what going on at this dump, but it’s not good or inexpensive.

Easily the best pizza in the city and the most similar to an nyc slice shop.

Been searching for a casual place to get NY style pizza by the slice with crispy crust, and was recommended this place. It was quick to get our slice, and was indeed crispy. We got the pepper and pesto slice, it was spicier than we had expected. Will need to try their other slices next time.

It's ok. Wouldn't really go out of my way for this pizza but if it's accessible, it's good enough. $6 slices are kind of expensive though.

The cheese pie is one of the best in San Francisco. Thin crust and crispy. New York style. But when I got other ingredients on the pie, there was not enough toppings. Way too skimpy on everything I ordered.

The Pizza Shop transports me back to being a kid in the 90s in Upstate NY. The Pizza by the Slice model is great for a variety of toppings. The delicious crispy crust with the right amount of stiffness to droop (fold it in half!), the perfect amount of cheese to sauce, the slight amount of grease on top... Drool.

I'm so glad we found the Pizza Shop - it's a great little place with friendly staff.

Nice pizza joint, with a pretty good atmosphere. I got a white spinach slice and the sauce is okay, but could use some more seasonings. The staff were friendly but casual, very welcoming. The gender neutral restroom is always a nice to have, and was very clean.

Overall? I’ll be back whenever I’ve got some down time in the bay.

The pizza was great. And the place is fine, but my fav part was the pinball. I played a lot of pinball there, and it's so so so fun. Definately try that with a good slice

I tried four different slices. Pretty good NY slices as far as crust/sauce/cheese, but across the board the toppings barely cut through. I ended having to put a bunch of chili flakes on to get any real flavor beyond the crust/cheese/sauce taste.
