I can’t believe I never wrote a review for this place. Walked in you just feel like you went back to Japan. The decoration inside is so cute. The service was very fast attentive. The food came really fast too, and you can tell that they are fried chicken were freshly fried. We also got a cup of drink and it was also pretty good. They have a good selection of Japanese wine too. The sesame dessert we got at the end was so cool and we really loved it. It truly feels like you went back in Japan and go to Izakaya. I would definitely recommend here.

They have a (V) which either means vegetarian or vegan! The “show” crab salad is NOT “show” crab thats a typo its REAL CRAB even with masago, I asked multiple times are you sure this is vegan crab?? I should have known too good to be true!!
Update: went to the restaurant the guy is making it seem like its normal for CRAB to be on the vegetarian or vegan section esp if they arent doing vegan crab!!!! Hes like “maybe they got confused” maybe?!?! This is a restaurant people have real allergies and people want to try different foods!!! And its printed on the menu!!!! I pray that they update their menu correctly!! And fish skin on all the veggies is NOT VEGETARIAN!!
Not to mention menu online very different than in the restaurant!!
the dessert is not coconut ice cream gave regular ice cream and for nine dollars they give you a ramekin worth..

We live next door and eat here often. Their food is always tasty! It’s a fun space, the employees are nice, and we continue to go there for late night sushi and ramen. The neighborhood has a lot of food options and this hits the price and quality marks for us.

It was that odd time when restaurants don’t serve food in between lunch and dinner. Went to 3 other places prior to this. Glad that they were serving food. I picked up a small to go order. It was ready right away. It was good but a little heavy on the sauce. Next time I’ll ask for it on the side. Menu looked good. They had some nice cocktails that I want to try. There is also a room in the side that you can book for private parties. Good to have on my list of places if you’re in the area.

Open late, delicious
Quirky little Asian joint with good food. (I would not quite call it an izakaya, but whatever.) Service was shoddy, but all the dishes were quite tasty. Loved the veggie tempura. Bring a jacket, because it's freezing in the place every time the door opens. They need a curtain by the front door to diminish the draft. Oh, and get better wine.

Not great. Teriyaki chicken was overcooked and rubbery. The sauce tasted like it came out of a bottle you would buy at the grocery store. The vegetable side that came with the bento box was nearly raw and completely unseasoned. The sushi tasted nice, but was sloppy and not very appealing to look at. There are better options very close by.

Restaurantji Recommends
Hot food was fantastic, sushi was meh, service was terrible. Gratuity is added automatically, they will try to get you to put more, rudely.

Highlight: Incredible Tempura Udon - for $16 (?!?! wow) is an unbelievable deal.
I’m visiting from the UK for 4 days and my go to for my first travel dinner is always Asian food because it’s always so vibrant and varied in big cities.
I went just after 10pm to take advantage of their 10-11pm happy hour, just a table of 1 so put my name down on the list and waited maybe 10-15mins for a table which I was more than happy to do.
I ordered the Tempura Udon because I was obsessed with this dish when I was in Japan over the spring and it really didn’t disappoint. Fantastic portion size, super crispy fresh tempura shrimp and loads of variety in the vegetables. Honestly I was wowed. The noodles were as thick as you would hope with the PERFECT bite consistency. The broth, super rich but very light.
On the Happy Hour I got the Karaage and Gyoza which is almost like a combo app with a few pieces of each. HUGE pieces of karaage and the gyoza were still so moist on the inside but super crispy on the outside. For $5?! Insane.
Also got a $5 Sapporo because what else is there to drink with deep fried Japanese food?
The menu itself was super varied, so many options across so many categories. Sadly didn’t try any of the robata skewers. I had thought I might order some later but honestly the portions were so generous that I couldn’t even finish what I ordered but if you’re going in a group then it’d be great for a nice varied table of dishes
Only downside purely circumstantial and nothing on the restaurant whatsoever and was that I ended up being sat in their second room with all other tables in there taken up by quite a large party and after they left it became a bit of a pen for solo diners so it maybe was a bit less atmospheric than I hoped.
But I mean… I’ve been in the F&B game for a long time previously so totally understand it’s just how the tables fall sometimes when you’re going to a venue that is so busy and bustling late into the night.
If you’re staying in the area and looking for a great late night spot to get your trip started then it’s a no brainer.

Came to try their happy hour. I honestly loved their fried foods and dessert. I just wouldn’t get any of their nigiris or sushi. Its one of biggest ive ever seen, the fish isnt good and it made me queasy. The rice to nigiri ratio is crazy🥴. I ended up not eating the nigiri. In terms of service don’t expect anything special, they just take your order, serve you and give you the bill. No hi, no bye, no thank you and they didn’t even ask why i left a whole tray of nigiri untouched. This place is definitely a spot for affordable fast food or after a night out drinking with friends and nothing is open except this one.

I ordered food through Uber, but the order was initially forgotten. When it was eventually delivered, the food arrived cold, soggy, and completely inedible. I was extremely disappointed by the lack of urgency in addressing the situation and the decision to deliver food that was clearly below the proper temperature, posing a food safety concern. Overall, it was a very frustrating and disappointing experience.
