What a great place, and why I have discovered it only now. John is the most gracious host who made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable. The whole place is very cozy. It's like a private dining. We were able to enjoy our food and talk as if we were the only people in the restaurant. The food was also great. I don't really like butternut squash soup, but I loved John's. Went to The Richmond for a birthday dinner and couldn’t have loved it more. It’s a set menu with an optional wine add-on so you don’t have to think about anything. Sit back, relax and enjoy good food and great company. It’s truly a hidden gem in the Inner Richmond. Already thinking about an excuse to go back.
You don't find restaurants like this! John was an absolute please and his food was great. He handles both the cooking and serving of the food. Love the private experience his curtains provide.
