Atmosphere was great, food good, service was pleasant but felt rushed. We had a later (3:30) reservation for tea. Once served, dishes were quickly removed as we worked our way through the three tiers—often times before we were finished!
We always reserve a table for lunch when we're in San Francisco. It never disappoints. Our server, Dhan (forgive me if I didn't get that right!!), was remarkable. Kind and funny, and very attentive to the food sensitivities in our group. We often start with a glass of champagne but this visit we changed it up with mocktails. The salads were delicious and the buttery lettuces were beautiful on the plate. My family went for Rotunda's famous warm chocolate chip cookies...
Had messaged with the restaurant ahead of time through the app about a gluten allergy and they said everything will be taken care of. Got to my reservation and they had no notes of it and tried to blame me for not telling them. I had to show them the conversation for them to believe me.
