From the moment we walked in everyone was so kind and attentive. We had the beet salad: light but delicious and fresh,
Pappernelle Pasta with Oxtail was simply pneominail (melted.in my mouth), sausage pizza (very flavorful)
Worth the visit and loved chit chatting with Chantel!!

Great spot for excellent pastas and pizzas. My partner and I come here all the time since it’s close to home and we’re never disappointed. Whenever friends are in town and want Italian food this is our go to. Highly recommended!

I love this restaurant. So glad the former Chow space is reopened and they've done a great job updating it. The food is fantastic, and we've been there many times already. It's a quieter restaurant so you can have a conversation easily, and the service is attentive and friendly.

Great place! Will visit again
The Rustic has an amazing atmosphere including a little heated patio in the back. The food feels very authentic and the flavors were delicious. I especially enjoyed the lemon ricotta ravioli with pesto sauce ?
Service was thoughtful and excellent. The price is incredibly reasonable for the quality of food.

Cute little spot with affordable prices and good portion sizes for brunch.
The "veggie omelette" was nice but a little bland. The potatoes on the side were very well cooked. Highlight of the dish was the garlicky sauce accompaniment which added flavor to all other items on the table.
The "veggie tagine" was a heartwarming dish of simple grains and chickpeas. Very filling and very flavorful. Really liked it!
I just wish they had more vegetarian options though.
Every dish was delicious- our large party had many of the pastas and apps, and every dish was a hit. From their peach ricotta toast special to their pappardelle to the steak tartare. Our server was fun and knowledgeable and a blast. I’ll be coming back for my next meal!

Pretty basic place. Basic Italian food, about a 5/10. Nothing spectacular food-wise. Perhaps even slightly disappointing. Small portions.
Server was pretty nice.
Atmosphere is pretty fancy when you walk in, but a bit chaotic. Later on my opinion changed to it being a rather average high-end interior.
Don't recommend for the food. I had the oxtail pasta. Thought it'd be fancy (to match the ambiance), but it was just some sliced meat in a sauce on some pasta. Extremely basic.

The Rustic has a good atmosphere with aesthetic decor. All of the food was reasonably priced and they are able to spilt the pasta for two people. I recommend trying the daily special and the hazelnut ice cream.

I love their wild mushroom pizza and salads. Even after reheating the next day it’s still very yummy. The crust is still yummy.
Service is always attentive and enthusiastic. Nice patio. Comfy soft padded chairs!! You don’t know how many pizza place gets seating wrong thinking hard chairs mean you stay shorter and higher turnover. Nope it simply makes the place less homey and welcoming and cold and ultimately hard chairs don’t make regular customers!
Also the mocktails are great. Better than many bars in fact. I don’t think I’ve been impressed by the wine but I only drink red and that never goes well with pizza or salad so who knows.
Love this neighborhood gem.
Full disclosure though I had written it off when it first opened and my first trip because I was not impressed by the steak tartar - too sweet, hamachi- too small, clam linguine - too much pasta and barely any clams. So I stay away from ordering these stuff. Consider yourself warned. ?
