Love the space and the vibe, and service was prompt and friendly. Coffee prices are better than elsewhere so I might have to try again. Unfortunately the caffe mocha I had here was one of the worst I've had in San Francisco -- much too watery. Ingredient quality seemed good, but maybe there's something they don't understand about steaming milk without leaving too much hot water in it. As a result even a double-shot small mocha tasted very watery even though I could tell the coffee and chocolate were of good quality. And this was done by someone who clearly has been making coffee drinks for decades so there must be either lack of care or lack of understanding the drink. A mocha should be rich and creamy, not watery, without the customer needing to request anything special, and regardless of one shot or two going into it. And I'm of course not talking about whipped cream, didn't ask for any or want any, didn't receive any. I'm just reviewing the drink itself.
The menu is surprisingly extensive with lots of options and the space is great. I'll give them another try sometime for breakfast and maybe a different style of coffee.
Used to love this place when they held a weekly Open Mic for musicians. Sorry they decided to eliminate this and go strictly to spoken word.
I haven't had such a tasteful breakfast in such long time, this breakfast flavor reminded me of my childhood. I really am coming back! And the place decorations make you feel in peace, a fairytale forest even 🩷🩷
Rude owner. Smelly inside. No free refills for drip coffee.
A couple of weeks ago, on our way to lands end trailhead, we Stopped for morning coffee and a sandwich.
There are many cafe choices nearby but this one seemed peaceful and less crowded. The moment we were inside the cafe. It was this cozy place with old yet charming vibe.
Coffee was definitely good and so was the sandwich 🥪 🤤. We got a Muffin as well as a gift to ourselves, which complemented coffee ☕️ so well. Besides food, we really enjoyed the interiors and the overall value this place offers for people like us.
I could easily sit in one of the corner seats and enjoying my coffee and book. This place also had some great lessons for us; for instance: using waste plastic containers as pots. And NotFeeling bad about!!!
The collection of plants was great and it gave such calming sense to us.
Service was great too. Order was received and delivered with smile. They also have some collection of books and board games I guess.
I would really like to visit sometime later!
Great food and service. Neighborhood staple and lovely couple who runs it.

Vibe is cute. No bathroom for customers and WiFi doesn’t work so don’t recommend as a work cafe.
Rude and dirty

Great bagels, enjoyed the lox. The build your own egg sandwich needed some sauce to get that 5th star. I really like the casual old school cafe vibe

The atmosphere is great! The only reason why I gave it a one star they gave me the wrong order. The person in the front doesn’t pay attention or something. The breakfast sandwich they are ok nothing to go out way to get it. The coffee is decent too.

pros:
- has wifi
- matcha latte + turkey sandwich were solid
but one huge major con:
- there's no bathroom?!
- flies buzzing around in the middle of the restaurant
It is the best family run cafe in SF.
Kid-friendliness: They are so chill with the kids.
