I ate here a few times during my stay at The Jay, and the service is excellent! The staff is very kind and attentive. My regular waitress Kathy took good care of me, and made sure I was well caffeinated (excellent lattes) for my work trip.
The duck soup has one of the best broths I’ve had in a long time. I also really enjoyed the fried quail and croquettes. And the lounge is a beautiful space to spend time between meetings.

The service was prompt and attentive, which I appreciated. However, the ambiance really needs improvement. The lighting, tables, and overall décor feel outdated and give off a slightly run-down vibe. The photos on this app (and others) seem to be taken in bright daylight or heavily edited, which feels a bit misleading compared to the actual experience. As for the food, it feels like something you'd see on a restaurant makeover show before the renovation. Many dishes were overly sauced and quite oily, and unfortunately the wine selection didn't taste great either.

The ambience is wonderful in this restaurant. What a beautiful interior! Unfortunately the food was disappointing and it was unfortunate that it didn't align with the experience of the restaurant's atmosphere. Our party had the crispy chicken sandwich and cheese burger entree and they were okay. The homemade ketchup was wonderful but the French fries were not seasoned well. The main entrees were bland and missing seasoning/flavour to elevate the taste.
We had a lovely meal, of course with a preset reservation. Service from the time we were seated to the time of the meal was just perfect. The spacing of our appetizers and our entrees was spot on, we weren't rushed! We started with oysters and delicious cauliflower as our appetizers, followed by the delicious and generous chicken sandwich, the pasta dish, and the braised shortrib. We were so interested in the lollipop kale that we ordered this. we drank a pinot noir which accompanied all the dishes, while our original choice was sold out, we were met with a delicious wine replacement. All spot on, the only thing that we'd have done differently is probably not do either the cauliflower or the lollipop kale as they both had a very sweet taste, which were too complimentary....perhaps a side dish with a spicy flair would have been better for us. Would and will recommend this place to visit. Great hotel and outside venue to have appetizers or a cocktail.

I did the NYE party. What was advertised as being apart of the ticket price was different than what was presented. Food and premium drinks were advertised as being included in GA, however there were only 3-4 passed small bite appetizers and all of the actual food was only for VIP. It was advertised there would be three bars but one of those bars was only for VIP, and the only other cocktail bar was serving pre-mix , sweet cocktails, beer and wine. No adjustments or other cocktails were able to be made, unless you wanted to pay for it separately. The DJ and live band were the best part of the night—they made it worth it.

We are at the bar and the food was amazing!!!! Service was great. The one star is because we purchased tickets to the NYE party and we had no option for seating. We left 20 min later. I must say if you hire an outside vendor to represent your establishment please make sure they are good.
