Seriously poor quality food, slow service and prices that are incoherent with the offering.

I went here for Easter lunch and the food was pretty good, but not worth it for the price. I paid $279 for appetizers, drinks, lobster rolls, and desserts for two. Crazy!! I won't be going here again, even though the ambience was really nice. My waiter was also very nice, but the food took a long time to arrive. It was good to catch up with my friend in that time, though.

I took my family for Easter Brunch and we had a great experience. Our waiter and the staff were very nice, they allowed us to eat without interruptions and were great at checking in with us to see if we needed nothing else. We all enjoyed our meals and our drinks were delicious. It was my first time there but would definitely come back and recommend for a family meal, date or just by yourself. Thank you to The Vault Garden waiter and staff that took good care of us.

Overpriced with 40% markup of service charge and fees. Absurd! I guess avoid going with a group. (We are just a group of 6)

The Vault Garden is a great semi-outdoor space for some delicious bites and creative cocktails. Their service staff is outstanding and very kind. For lunch they have a pre-fixe menu as well as an a la carte menu with delectable morsels. Their food is well prepared with a simple elegance. Definitely a lively place around midday, and I would suggest going early or making a reservation. I would definitely come back to try more or even their dinner menu. They also validate parking for anyone wondering.

Lovely setting, slightly chilly due to indoor/outdoor situation and a breeze, but very pleasant. We had an issue with the kitchen (far away from the dining area) forgetting to prep desserts and our having to wait a long time. Otherwise, excellent!

The holiday drinks at The Vault Garden SF are a true celebration of the season! And I truly enjoyed the atmosphere including all the decorations which elevate the festivities. The warm drink is a burst of festive flavors, making it feel like Christmas in a cup.Paired with the Shishito Peppers, the experience was both comforting and tantalizing. A delightful choice for a holiday evening out!

Manager was not super welcoming when we arrived. We had a stroller and totally understand there's not always space (although we did include that we would have it in the notes and nobody called to say they couldn't accommodate) and instead of trying to make it work he just kept making it seem like we were inconveniencing him for being there. Seemed almost not baby friendly vibes, but we've been here many times with her and never received this treatment. Was definitely disappointed.

The Vault Garden is cheerfully full of holiday decorations and celebrants at this time of year. The $30 2-course prix fixe is a pretty good lunch deal, though portions are pretty small. My soup was potato-leek, nicely smooth and blended. But the choice of fried leek on top actually was a bit weird to chew in my soup. The chive snips were a great vibrant green accent.Butternut squash risotto with roasted chestnuts, sage, and mushrooms: I appreciated the roasting on the squash pieces, but I think some citrus might have been nice to amplify the flavors. And the rice was a little more al dente than I prefer. The hot buttered rum, with banana and walnut butter, was a very fun, if oddly gritty, choice, thanks to the nuts being chopped into the butter.Would definitely try again, but maybe stick to the regular menu just to get the effect of a full entree.

We were there for Christmas Eve dinner before Midnight Mass. We have been to The Vault Garden in the past, so we knew not to expect the regular menu, during the Christmas holiday. As such, with the fixed menu, one would expect an easier and smoother operation. Maybe they were short-handed? We were a third way through our meal before we were finally able to flag down someone to inquire about our bottle of wine. By the time he came back to say it was on its way, we were halfway through with our meal. So we canceled the wine order. They provided a half glass of wine on the house, which was appreciated. Nevertheless, it was still a good dining experience and the food was scrumptious. Will be back again.

Beautifully decorated for restaurant for the holidays! Their menu for Christmas Eve was $95/pp which included appetizer, entree and dessert. Overall experience was okay. The dessert choice was only a chocolate option which was unfortunate. For the amount of food you are served, this menu isn't worth it. When our receipt came we noticed there's a “service charge” line which is deceiving because it should say “ gratuity”.

This place is NOT dog friendly despite their website, their Yelp page and other reviews stating that it is. I understand not everywhere is able to accommodate dogs that are not service animals, which is why I do extensive research before trying to visit any location (bar, store, restaurant, etc.). I've had a reservation on calendar for 3 weeks that explicitly stated I was bringing a dog and they called me the day of my reservation to tell me "Dog Friendly" only means service animals. Again, I completely understand why policies like these exist but it is not clear. Dog friendly and service dogs only are not the same thing.

We arrived around 3:00 pm, hoping to enjoy a good meal and their famous holiday drinks. Unfortunately, we only had a chance to enjoy a drink and a couple of appetizers. Our waiter disappeared and never came back to take our meal order. Needless to say, we waited for maybe 30 minutes. The restaurant was pretty much empty, and no one seemed to be aware we needed some attention. I saw our waiter on his cell phone outside the restaurant. We got another waiter's attention, and we told him we'd been waiting to place our order, but since no one came to ask if we were okay, we lost interest in giving them any business. We asked for the check, which came back fast, so we paid and were shocked at the awful service. Not worth the fuss of Christmas, this place sucks. We went to Wayfare Tavern around the block; the service and food were terrific.

Came with a big group. Food was really just okay, but the staff were absolutely delightful. The bathrooms are very far from the eating
