We visited Tiya yesterday. The food was very good and we really enjoyed it. They also gave us a special room, which made our experience even better. The ambience is nice and comfortable. However, the chai was very cold and could be improved. There is also a parking problem around the restaurant. Overall, it was a good experience.

Small bites were good, but the main chicken dish, butter chicken, was a wash. Waiters Wylder and Oana were exemplary in their service. Wine selection for the prices could have been much better. But the most appalling thing I noticed was that of a kitchen staff leaving the toilet without washing his hands. I followed the person to the kitchen area but he quickly melted into the team and I could not identify him. I called the wine Sommelier and informed her. I wanted him identified. She later came and told me that the person was checking toilet paper. You don't need to lock the toilet for that, I had a hard time buying that. The manager and the Sommelier assured me that they would talk to the staff later that night about customer perceptions when they walk out of toilets without washing their hands. I hope they do.

Don’t go here if you are hungry. Tiny portions. My son and I are $100 worth of food - left and went over to Super Duper to get a full stomach.

Our family had an incredible experience at Tiya. The drinks, appetizers and desserts were truly unique and stand out as highlights of the meal. However, we feel there is big opportunity to further refine the main course offerings. We ordered the vegetarian potato and paneer dishes, but found both to be a bit overwhelmed by cream and saffron, which masked the natural flavors of the ingredients.
While the overall experience was a 4/5, the main courses specifically felt closer to a 2.5 to 3 over 5. We look forward to seeing how the menu evolves!

Wonderful experience! All the items were exquisite. Especially the main course in the vegetarian - chef tasting menu.. the combination of paneer with coconut based sauce, garlic naan and dal were so comforting to the palate! The service was great. The person who waited on us was kind, sweet and offered sweet surprises to our daughter! Highly recommend this place!

The best Indian fine dining experience in the Bay, despite the fierce competition. A wonderful blend of traditional and innovative flavors, presented beautifully and accompanied by very gracious and attentive service. Perfect!

The service was wonderful - Mohit took very good care of us. the food was outstanding and I look forward to going back..
Tiya was long due on my list and it didn’t disappoint. Food was great, well balanced, not oily, cooked to the right temperature. The flavors in every dish stood out.
We tried everything in the menu except fish curry, saag and potato curry.
Overall a great place to have dinner and looking forward to come here again as the menu changes!!

The experience was amazing. The food was very nice. Had paneer canoli and edamame and peas kebab. Both were super flavorful.
Entrees we had paneer polichatu and the veggie dumplings. There we felt was a little room for improvement. Although they were tasty but felt it could use more spice and little more indian flavor punch. Dal and saffron rice were amazing.
The best part of the meal was desert. Had mango ras malai and doodh jalebi. Absolutely amazing.
Would definitely go back.
The staff was very courteous and explained everything very nicely and they all were very welcoming.

Good food and fusion creation, there can definitely be improvement on butter chicken chicken, it's dry even tandoori it still needs to be juicy. Paneer cannoli good , serving size was not right.
Best fine dining Indian experience in SF and cocktails by Izler are top class

WOW I absolutely LOVED our experience at Tiya. We had high expectations due to several friends and family members having wonderful dinners here... and I am super shocked because this not only lived up to the hype but exceeded expectations!!!
Everything was perfect; creative, delicious dishes with 10/10 flavors. Every course was consistently perfect. Our server was also fantastic, he was so knowledgeable and super fun. New absolute favorite!
