We visited Tiya yesterday. The food was very good and we really enjoyed it. They also gave us a special room, which made our experience even better. The ambience is nice and comfortable. However, the chai was very cold and could be improved. There is also a parking problem around the restaurant. Overall, it was a good experience.
Small bites were good, but the main chicken dish, butter chicken, was a wash. Waiters Wylder and Oana were exemplary in their service. Wine selection for the prices could have been much better. But the most appalling thing I noticed was that of a kitchen staff leaving the toilet without washing his hands. I followed the person to the kitchen area but he quickly melted into the team and I could not identify him. I called the wine Sommelier and informed her. I wanted him identified....
Our family had an incredible experience at Tiya. The drinks, appetizers and desserts were truly unique and stand out as highlights of the meal. However, we feel there is big opportunity to further refine the main course offerings. We ordered the vegetarian potato and paneer dishes, but found both to be a bit overwhelmed by cream and saffron, which masked the natural flavors of the ingredients.
