Per the recommendation of a friend, I came without reservation to San Tommaso. I waited very little for a table on a clearly very busy night. My server Tomás was incredibly kind, competent, and made suggestions that were perfect for what I was wanting. It was truly a lovely dining experience. Not to mention he was managing many tables at the same time- very impressive. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! Gracias al porteño Tómas :)

Just around the corner from the main Columbus Street corridor in Northbeach, take a few steps down below street level into this wonderful, old school, family style Italian restaurant. Warm, friendly service and memorably amazing food. Famous for pizza, but don't leave without sharing their gnocci appetizer and heavenly tiramisu.

This place is VERY cute. Such a sweet hole in the wall with a buzzy, home style vibe. The food however is not great. We had the chicken parm & pasta, and 2 pizzas. All were not very tasty and the pizza dough was quite heavy.
