Food is great, atmosphere is usually pretty cool for either chilling or fun. But the last time I was there, I asked a simple question about the stew. The server/cook there cutting the meat responded in a very rude/uptight kind of way. I used to love visiting this place and getting a Roy Rodgers. But this most recent visit has made me feel very unwelcome. Still 3 stars because after I bought two entrees on this visit, both were very tasty.
I have been going here on and off for over 40 years. I hadn't been in quite some time. I was very happy to find it still open! Delish food, for meat eaters. Loved my carved pastrami sandwich. And good selection of beers on tap. Writing because the decor and vibe is STILL THE SAME AND FANTASTIC! So happy to visit again.
I wanted to try something new, I always past by this place, so I finally tried it. They have a serving counter where they make your plate in front of you. I enjoyed the turkey sloppy Joe; I felt like I was back at Grandma's house. The interior is hip, I liked the decor. People had there children eating there too, so it is family friendly. Try something new!
