Dishonest BBQ chefs, if they see young customers that are inexperienced or different race, they won't hesitate to take advantage. Paid $12 for 80% box of rice with bones. They're saving the good pieces for their own ppl. Go elsewhere!

Came back to SF and searching for nostalgia. Top's was a place o frequented back in the days Surprised you find there is no longer sit down dining and the menu is only BBQ and cabbage is the only vegetable available. Since we were there, might as well get some BBQ as we are heading to a friend's for lunch. Got a duck, some char siu, and roast pork. Everything was ok but no longer spectacular. Char siu fat and lean ratio is off. More lean than fat which made the meat dry. The duck no longer has the crispy skin and the meat isn't as flavorful. Roast pork is good with a nice crispy skin. Overall, would not come back. There are better options in the city.

Best roast duck & rice plate in SF for $11. I've patronize Top's Cafe since forever! Before covid this was full service restaurant. Still serving the community as a deli like service. Come and enjoy the flavors! You won't be disappointed.

My father went there twice and one of the workers refused to sell him this specific duck. The employee kept yelling at my father, my father eventually got what he wanted but came back home in a bad mood. This place has no professionalism, as this has happened twice. This place is also very unsanitary, they don’t use gloves and deal with money and then touch your food?. Come here if you want to feel disrespected and discussed.

Indoor dining is not available. There's usually a line for their BBQ take-out items. At 7pm, they were out of BBQ pork. I had to resort to their BBQ duck w/rice $10. Their BBQ items are spot on. Good flavors with enough moisture and not dry. The customers from the old defunct Wing Hing down the block are now coming here. I didn't see a line at where Wing Hing used to be, Ming Hing. This is a good Chinese BBQ take-out restaurant for the San Bruno Ave. neighborhood.

The worker served me old meat from under the table. He definitely discriminated against me and thought I wouldn’t notice. When confronted about it, he said he thought I wanted it lean. The portion he gave me was in fact not lean. I will not be going back.

The picture defies justice-because this was THE best duck ever and I pride myself on knowing and having and judging duck as an entree, an appetizer and a dessert: stand in line for personal one on one service and watch that machete mastery tho and hurry up!This was day 2 for visiting SBA within 24 hours and I am not mad. Beautiful weather jn Portola and even more beautiful residents with great plates and palates. I’ll be catering in food from this bad boy because that’s how I quack!
