Great atmosphere, amazing staff, love bringing our pugs during the week to enjoy the porch space. Can't rave enough about their homemade biscuits! Just wish they were open on weekends to serve the 1,000's of residents living within 1/2 mile of this great place!

Came for Friday night all-evening Happy Hour. This is a seriously hidden happy hour gem (HH until close on Mondays and Fridays). A number of incredible bottles of wine are offered at $30. Food as always is super high-quality.Only negative was that it was kind of empty - but guess what - you, reader, can fix that! See you at Town Hall!

Girlfriend and I both had some food and drink. Drinks and service were both great and the food was good on the front end, but not the back. Both of us woke up in the middle of the night to some weird disturbances. Ambiance also good, nice big old vibe building.

Still remains a fried chicken classic equal to Friedman’s in New York ! . With a smaller waiting and guest list post vivid still a safe bet when arriving to SOMA sleepy Howard st . The combination of a good and solid wine list and after dinner drinks and southern dish’s that make you smile

Just moved to San Francisco, and this was our first stop for dinner. Waiting staff was cold/quiet. Food was very average. Would not recommend for a great experience, but if you are in the mood for middling american cuisine at a high mark-up this is the place for you.

I really enjoyed this place. I have been coming to this place for years. I visited this place the first time since the pandemic ended. It has not changed. Their fried chicken is amazing. Also their butterscotch pudding is decadent. The restaurant serves southern style cuisine. Everything on the menu looks good and tastes good. The customer is service is good and friendly.

We had a group of 16 which they accommodated easily. Attentive staff provided us with great drinks and homemade tasting food. Definitely did not go hungry as the portions were generous.Love the feel of the place. Felt like home.

Excellent, unassuming and wonderful find. The moment you walk in to Town Hall there is such a friendly welcoming vibe. The level of professionalism among the staff is unrivaled. I would suggest trying the Homemade Potato Gnocchi with Oyster Mushrooms, Parmesan and Chives absolutely delectable. Their Famous Fried Chicken is "Famous" for good reason. So scrumptious. For dessert the Butterscotch Chocolate Pot de Creme is luscious. Phenomenal experience. Shout-out to Ariana, Drew and Sarah for making my evening so pleasant.

I came here for an after work drink with co workers. Imagine my surprise seeing some bbq ribs on the menu ! They have a nice selection of German brews… nothing is on tap though which is a little weird. My bbq was also overdone , although the baked beans were perfect. Never had pickled okra but I like it now ! The best thing about this place is I tried maybe 3 bars in soma after work and this was the only spot where I could have some legroom and hear the others in my party talking. If you’re looking for a spot you can actually talk and enjoy a drink this spot is good !

Food (5/5): Came here with a large group. Overall very solid food. All the appetizers that came out were delicious. This included the cornbread, shrimp, empanadas, and oysters. The cocktail and wine I got were also on point. My favorite part was my main dish of the pork chop. It was amazingly cooked with no chewy parts and the flavoring was top notch.Service (5/5): Really friendly and helpful service. Food came out at a good pace. I also really liked how this place makes booking reservations convenient. Other places require deposits or credit card holds for large groups, but this place made it easy to book for a large group and they came prepared with a nice table ready for us.Ambiance (5/5): Awesome ambiance in the restaurant with a classic American feel. The restaurant was clean and spacious. The only improvement would be to have a bathroom on the first floor. The restrooms required you to climb a bunch of stairs into a totally different area than the restaurant.

I ordered the Beef short ribs (so tender!) and my husband had the pork chop. Both were delicious!!!!! We started off with the deep fried okra which I've never hadthey were crunchy and just the right amount of salty. The service was very good, and people were friendly and attentive. My sister-in-law had the fried chicken, which she shared a little bit with us and it was quite delicious. We would definitely come back. We live in the East Bay - BART getting off at the Embarcadero exit is definitely the way to go for us. It was only a very short six minute walk.
