Our meals at the Toy Soldier in San Francisco were delicious. I had the salmon with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagas. My husband had the sea bass with a unique light mushroom sauce. Both were cooked perfectly. The goat cheese salad had a wonderful light dressing and dried cranberries. It was so large we shared it. We will definitely be going back the next time we are in San Francisco.

They always say you find the best restaurants hidden in alleys... and we found one here. My husband and I were at the ICA contemporary art museum around the corner and checked opentable to see what restaurants were close by. The dinner menu here, with grilled proteins like steak, pork chops and fish was an easy decision... and it did not disappoint. Our super friendly server recommended a Malbec (most places recommend the highest priced reds with a steak but not our server) and...

Fantastic lunch. Food was very good and Arturo our waiter has great recommendations that were all better than described. A bit pricey but not at all disappointing and will definitely come back. We had the burger, cheesesteaks and chicken sandwich and shared across the table. The burrata was super fresh with amazing heirloom tomatoes. Service was attentive and friendly and helpful at every turn. Thanks Toy Soldier!!
