I ordered scrambled eggs with bacon, and I really don’t recommend it for breakfast. The dish was awful, I expected much better quality food. On top of that, they automatically add a 20% gratuity, which makes it extremely expensive for such poor quality breakfast. Definitely not going back.

Food and drink was good but service was non existent. After sitting in the bar area at a table for 15 mins I decided to order through the bar. Other disappointing item was that they add gratuity to all checks (we only had 2 people) and then don’t make it obvious when you’re signing your credit card receipt. Very sneaky and unethical. Kind of makes sense why service lacked.

We discovered this restaurant years ago by accident before a Curran Theater show and made it our regular pre-theater spot. Sadly, after our most recent visit, I doubt we will be coming back. We had a 6:00 pm reservation, the restaurant was barely half full, and I stood at the host desk completely ignored. The bartender and at least two servers walked past without making eye contact or saying a word—not even a “someone will be right with you.” I even saw one server tell another to go check on me, and his response was, “that's not my job.” Totally unacceptable. By the time the host finally appeared, seated guests were watching me stand there awkwardly, clearly uncomfortable with what they were seeing. The poor service didn't stop there. I ordered a glass of wine while waiting for my guest. The server dropped it off and then vanished. He never once came back to check on me, and when my guest arrived, we had to flag him down just to place our order. As for the food: the Pappardelle with Three Meat Bolognese and the Tagliatelle con Polpette were bland, uninspired, and tasted basically the same—despite being described as two different dishes. For a restaurant that prides itself on homemade pasta, it was a huge letdown. What used to feel like a gem has now slipped into careless service and mediocre food. After this experience, we'll be finding a new pre-theater spot.

Right down the street from the Curran Theater which was a plus. Food was delicious, service was friendly and efficient. Cocktails left a bit to be desired, especially for the high price but all in all, a great experience.

Enjoyed a drink at the lovely bar before dinner, then dined on an assortment of appetizers and salad for dinner. Great spot to go before the theater.

Good option near Toni Rembe theater. It's clean, comfortable. However, food is average and pretty pricey for what you get. Also they added in service charge when we were only 2 people. Ended up being expensive. Would not return unless needed something near theater.
This was a wonderful experience! From the time I entered the Manager called me by name/ knew we were on a limited time issue. We had Theatre tickets- and could not be late. They had a table ready- and the waiter was ready as quickly as we were. The restaurant is on the corner- inside a hotel. Old school San Francisco. Just beautiful. The best Ilalian Food Ive had in a long time. If your in Union Square- this one is perfect!
