I consistently write fair reviews. Here, I walked in, stood and waited at the bar. And waited. Bartender was all smiles but took longer than should've to walk up given that I was the only person standing at the bar, finally she did, ok, then she inexplicably walked away without saying a word and proceeded to walk to the other end of the bar and serve two seated patrons who entered the bar after I did (I passed them standing outside on the sidewalk when I walked in). It was disappointing and unprofessional. I am gay, this is supposed to be a welcoming community bar. I took a car over from Dolores Heights just to go there and check it out. Instead I left and went to another bar on Haight.

Great vibe affordable drinks classic bar popped in for a drink and use the restroom there beer on top. I think five dollars a pint pretty good value some great history here must see.

This is !n old divey bar in the upper Haight. It's fun and super friendly. You might come in a stranger but you'll leave with a new group of friends.
This is not a place where you look at what's trending so you can order the same thing and take yet another photo of the same cocktail to post on the web. This is a place where people talk to each tiger, share their stories and become friends.

As a British woman on her own, trax felt like a very safe bar. I came in for one drink but ended up staying for many, armed with my book. Bar man was wonderful and i enjoyed observing how friendly he was with everyone - he made everyone feel as if he'd kwown them for years. I truly got a sense of warmth and positivity here.
