I just got glitter shamed at this establishment. If you’re a venue that hosts drag shows, don’t shame people for wearing glitter. Especially on new years eve.

Ten dollars for drinks tho. Liquor store is cheaper. Just pregame before you come here.Edit, year later: Trax Tue is not 3 dollars. Chard is 7, cider is 6.Sooooooooo hyphy.

Stopped by with a drunken Bachelors party. Haven't been here in over 10 years, maybe I'll come back in another 10.

Guy behind the counter was fairly rude. I was with a friend who didn’t have her ID so she was waiting outside, the tender used that as a reason to not serve me (despite me having an ID) and when I did ask for his reasoning he responded with, and I quote, ‘I don’t owe you an explanation and I can refuse service to anyone’. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Been there a few times. And it's fare to say it's a hit a miss type of place. You gotta catch the bartenders on a good day. But even then they act like they are doing you a favor by making you a drink. I walked in one night and the bartender was sitting outside chopping it up with a pal (feet propped up and the whole 9). He didn't come in to make my drink. Not once but twice. I had to wave him down to come inside to make a round out drinks. On another instance I attempted to have a skinny margarita or traditional marg = just the booze, lime juice and sweetener. The Bartender flat out told me, "I don't want to make the drink". I was like, "Whuh"? There are so many cool bars on Haight Street that cater to everyone with far less attitude and clean toilets (geez).

We popped in on a whim so we could warm up and use the restroom. We bellied up to the bar and enjoyed the company of our uber friendly bartender. We loved it so much that we had a second round of drinks. I ordered a Mimosa and then a Screwdriver. I was surprised, but the Screwdriver was my favorite. Both were strong and perfectly balanced. My husband just had a rum and Coke. He was satisfied with his drink. In fact, he’s totally why we stayed for the second drink! The restroom was reasonably clean as well as locked (understandable). You need to ask for the key. Yelp labels it as a gay bar | dive bar. We didn’t know it was a gay bar, nor did we care. I learned later that it is the the longest-running gay bar in the Haight-Ashbury area. However, it is indeed a dive bar, which we really liked! Dark, hard wood finishes–gives you a cozy feel on a cold Sunday afternoon.
