Nice, solid cocktail bar. Small in a good way, but it can get packed. It's hard to get a drink then given that they only have two bartenders. Found it randomly while walking after visiting San Ho Won.

really friendly staff and tasty drinks; however, the drinks are INSANELY weak and overpriced - our cocktails were over $20 each (there are no prices on the menu) and we left the bar -after two drinks each- more sober than when we arrived.

One of my favorite spots for cocktails in the city. I appreciate how they're willing to take risks with their cocktail specs (often delicious, always interesting), and accompany them with delightfully creative themed menu designs.

How had I not been here?? Amazing cocktails and great service.
There’s something magical about this bar and I just kept going back to it in the 2 months I stayed in SF. Def my fav bar in the area. They have such creative menu of cocktails and update the menu every 6 months. Super busy on Friday and weekend nights but bartenders make sure you’re taken care of. Just need a little time for them to get to you. Fun vibe and just so good drinks. Outdoor seating is pretty nice.

Evolving menu of cocktails and cute physical menu to match. They also have decent food, though the cocktails are the main sell. Nice location, though it can get crowded.

Best cocktails and love the burgers and nuggets. The bar staff are always a great vibe. Fave reliable place to bring people. Upstairs is great otherwise have to overcome standing room anxiety to claim space but what’s new
Awesome bar , great atmosphere ( except to stand , no many seats ) and amazing kale salad !!! Try it

It was a busy night when we came and really loud, but we were able to find a table upstairs. Service was prompt, drinks came out with not too bad of a wait. Cocktails are good, I definitely believe with their extensive menu there is a tasting profile for everyone. Bonus points for theme and creativity with he menu.

Between my cousin and I, we tried 8 cocktails 🫣and all were SOOOOO good. The bartender KB was also fantastic. We also got the fries which were divine! The only thing is that after 4 cocktails you’d think I’d be hammered and I was barely buzzed.

Trick Dog has long been known for its creativity, both in cocktail design and visual presentation — a legacy proudly displayed through its rotating, themed menus, many of which now serve as part of the bar’s wall decor.
We visited during the Circus menu and sampled several cocktails. As expected with a concept that evolves frequently, the quality and balance of the drinks varied. Some offerings were well-executed and enjoyable, while others leaned more heavily on novelty than finesse.
For instance, the Human Dartboard was a standout — refreshing and vegetal, topped with a clever cheese foam that added both texture and intrigue. In contrast, the Glass Walker opened with aggressively savory notes that made the first sip jarring; while it became slightly more approachable with subsequent sips, the overall balance felt off.
Trick Dog continues to impress with its ambition and originality, but some drinks could benefit from a bit more nuance. At times, the concepts feel more literal than layered — bold in idea, but lacking the subtlety that makes a cocktail truly memorable.
