The best signature cocktails in SF can be found at True Laurel. This hip spot is located in the Mission near Trick Dog and features innovative cocktails from the team behind two-Michelin Star Lazy Bear. My favorite drink on a previous menu was In The Pines, Under The Palms, a brilliant twist on the Martinez, a classic that many believe was invented in nearby Martinez, in the East Bay region of the San l Francisco Bay Area. True Laurel makes the Martinez even more local with foraged redwood tips, together with coconut washed rye and the backbone of the original Martinez recipe (London dry gin, sweet vermouth, Luxardo Maraschino and bitters). Thank you to Alexis and Macario for bringing me to this awesome bar.

Good drinks. For dinner, while they could use a more extensive menu (even 2 more entrees) the crispy mushroom, Loaded Baked Potato, and Patty Melt were tasty.

Annoyingly the best. For everything. But especially the patty melt and lemon tart and hot toddy. Yes, everything.

One of the best bars in the city, and the Mai O Mai is definitely my favorite cocktail I’ve had here. The vibes are immaculate, service exceptional, and food / drinks are consistently amazing. Highly recommend True Laurel to anyone looking for a great bar to grab a bite and a drink.

The tomato cocktail and small plates blew me away. Specifically, the crispy hen of the woods dish is a wonderful shared plate. The Mai-o-Mai is a delicious staple of the menu as well! The menu rotates seasonally, and the bartender recommendations never miss. Skillfully made cocktails, in pitch-perfect ambiance, and munchies to match make this an East mission Establishment. This is the ideal up-scale place to visit (exclusively with the people you like) in your time off work or on the weekend.Down to nuts and bolts: if you’re going for dry January, the nonalcoholic drinks are spectacularly constructed. There are vegetarian options for food. Enjoy!

Come for the patty melt. Went with a friend, got one and the masa dumplings (divino) and went back for round two on the melt. Stellar.
