Great dive bar at the top of Stockton/Bush streets. Chill vibe with a second floor for that more intimate conversation, or just gazing out the window to the happenings outside.

I visited this bar on a Tuesday night after flying in, and the place was relatively empty. Barely 3-4 minutes after we entered, the bartender rudely asked if we were there just to use the washrooms without ordering any drinks. Such behavior is completely undignified and unprofessional. We tried to brush it off and asked the bartender for assistance, but he continued to be incredibly rude. This hostile atmosphere led us to leave the bar. Even as we were leaving, he kept calling our group losers amongst other insults.

We are unsure if this was racially motivated or just plain rude behavior, but either way, it was unacceptable. Who would enjoy such terrible service is beyond me. I highly DO NOT recommend this place to anyone looking to chill and have a good time.

Excellent bar for a quick drink

Another unpretentious winner - friendly bar that can get a little crowded, so I think the word is out. Had a couple outstanding cucumber gimlets on an unusually hot SF early evening, and liked everything about the place. Especially the thirst trappy French bartender.

This is my favorite bar in the city. I never write reviews, and I don't want this place to get more popular, but I couldn't help myself! The cocktails have fresh fruit/herbs and are amazing without being too sweet. They have everything. Bartenders are all cool. Usually a spot to sit at the bar before dinner. Divey but clean. It's perfect.
