Delicious Ramen and wonderful attentive and helpful service team. They were on point with everything. Curry was something I wasn’t expecting and I LOVED IT! Atmosphere is casual and welcoming. 100% recommend and will be returning in the future.

This used to be a five star but after the strange service I received when I went back. I left it at four star since the food was decent and good.

I'm surprised there aren't more reviews of this place. They have a combination ramen that is fire? I have honestly never seen a combination ramen that had so many different meats in it? I always have a hard time choosing which ramen to get but this had the perfect amount of variety for a good price too. The meat was tender and the broth was super flavorful, too! (I got medium spice level and it was bit spicy for my bf when he tried it but perfect for me) Also, everyone who worked there was super nice and attentive P.S. I almost never leave reviews...

This is a delicious ramen restaurant. However, I came in expecting it to be Japanese ramen, but my understanding of Japanese ramen seemed to be lacking. It was a combination of ramen I had never seen before, but it was delicious! The ramen was delicious - I ordered Spicy Tan Tan ramen. I was expected the taste like Japanese ramen, but it was not. I’ve never seen a ramen with spinach.. but the taste was good - just a little bit like Chinese style, not Japanese.

This ramen shop was definitely geared to serving the young. Music was too loud to have a conversation without raising my voice. But the food was good. We made sure and requested that the soup be extra hot. The noodles were not over cooked. The broth was pretty good. I had the classic ramen that didn't have a ton of spices but I was really startled by the spicy hot dogs. In the menu picture it looked like carrots. I didn't read the menu carefully and missed the spicy sausage mentioned. They were hot dogs cut on the diagonal. This is why I subtracted a star. Also the seaweed was limp and no longer crispy (it got dunked). Meat - one slice. Corn was good, kikurage mushrooms also delicious and had a nice crunch. Egg was good. I would rather have had 2 eggs and no hot dogs. Hot dogs in ramen - although they tasted good and were plentiful, I did not want to eat them in ramen. It was worth trying though! I don't think I will go back, but if you are young and love loud music and hot dogs in your ramen, I am sure you will like it. Service was fast and excellent. Really nice young kids.

Had a early family lunch here after looking at other options on the 2nd floor of Japantown. Place filled up fairly quickly after we arrived and ordered. The menu is fairly extensive despite it being a ‘ramen house’. We had a combination of rice, ramen and appetizers - the food is uniformly good but not outstanding. The ramen broth is a little thin but the noodle texture is good. The croquette is actually pretty good. Service is pleasant and efficient. Good option when look for traditional Japanese fare in the crowded complex.

Friendly staff and decently good food! Recommend for some quick bites! Food: 3/5. I love the big portion sizes they give for ramen and the rice dish. We got a black garlic ramen and katsu curry rice. Black garlic ramen: so many toppings!! I loved the variation of toppings! The noodles are quite average. The broth was flavorful but also quite average as well. Katsu curry rice: the rice was well cooked and the curry is thick and delicious. Nice decent meal!Vibes: 4/5. Admittedly this place is situated in Japantown with many tough competitions. Their prices are around the same as other ramen places in Japantown. We went on a Saturday night and everything in Japantown was booked. We stumbled upon Umai and got seated immediately. The staff was nice and the restaurant is quite cute!
