nestled within the high treason wine bar, unco franks is a great date spot serving delicious hawaiian cuisine.
mochiko chicken: must try! perfectly crispy and the batter is packed with flavor
mac salad: solid side dish, pairs well with the fried chicken
shrimp: a little too salty but well cooked
Mochiko chicken is delicious, kalbi was good, and mac salad was unfortunately just not it. It was super mayo and citrus (like lemon, not apple cider vinegar) heavy and didn’t hit the spot for us when we were craving authentic mac salad.

super solid ‘bar food’. everything came out hot and fresh, coconut shrimp was definitely our favorite. we loved the space and the staff are awesome!
Loud wine bar but fun atmosphere with a group of friends. Multiple beverage options for everyone including sake and non alcoholic. Food was great and in decent portions. Pupu plater was great for the group. I loved the mochiko chicken and the kalua pork sliders were also a hit. Coconut shrimp also great. The mac salad creaminess and white pepper stood out. The short ribs were cooked well. Could pass on the chicken teriyaki tho the portion size was good.

Unco Frank catered our company holiday party of over 70 people! He was patient with our growing guest list right up to the last day. The pricing was affordable for the group and it included gratuity and delivery.
The food.... was amazing. Not one person out of 75 had anything but wonderful things to say! The portions were large enough that we had unexpected added guests and there were still a ton of left overs to share with those that remained until the end.
I can't wait to go back on my own and try other items.
Frank also worked with our Vegan and Vegatarian guests.
Easy to commmunicate with and expectations were exceeded!
Thank You Frank for making our best holiday party THE BEST!

Found this place by accident and really enjoyed it. The interior is fun, the food is tasty. I had fries, Kailua sliders and pupu plate, everything had great flavor. Will definitely be back to try other items.

Amazing food here! Whenever I’m in SF I always like to grab takeout. My family tries everything, especially like the mochiko chicken and kalbi. They give generous portions of mac salad and rice. It’s definitely one of our go-tos.

Had Unco Frank's catered a couple times and each experience has been great. The food is well packaged and delivery service is great. The food is immaculate too, super delicious and easy for an entire group to split up. I particularly love the fried rice because I am a sucker for spam ha! Would recommend.

Restaurant pop-up in the wine bar The Bitter End (a little confusing to figure out what was going on as the service was a bit awkward). Small but varied menu of Hawaiian dishes. We got the PuPu platter with rice and Mac salad to get a taste of everything.Food was great but very salty. Fries were the highlight with a savory, spicy sauce. Fried chicken was okay. Looked like a lot of food came from the freezer, doesn't matter much when it's all fried anyway.Very nice vibe in the wine bar, sort of a hipster approach with vinyls all over the place.

Tastes like Hawaii. Had the Mochiko Chicken and Kalbi, and will definitely come back. This is the most authentic Hawaiian food I’ve had in the city.

Mochiko Chicken - Pretty decent. Lightly fried chunks with a soft crispy batter. Glazed slightly sweet and savory. Different than how typically done in Hawaii. Mac salad was light on mayo and flavor, quite peppery, had carrots. Would've preferred soft white rice. The greens were nice.
