Glad we finally got the chance to come and enjoy the food, wine, and atmosphere of Ungrafted! Great wines selected by the sommeliers and very creative and delicious food. We didn't even intend to go entirely vegetarian, but so glad we did! Loved the mushroom parfait the most! Will definitely go back for this dish every time.

Ungrafted is an exceptional wine destination in Dogpatch, where the two master sommelier owners have curated an unparalleled collection that prioritizes quality and taste over merely impressive price tags. Unlike other establishments across the city that seem content to push expensive bottles without consideration for the customer’s experience, Ungrafted’s approach is refreshingly genuine and knowledgeable. The staff—warm, welcoming, and extraordinarily versed in their offerings—creates an atmosphere that rivals the hospitality of Michelin-starred establishments, making even casual wine enthusiasts feel valued and enlightened. Their ability to guide you through their globally-sourced selection, explaining the story behind each bottle with passion and precision, transforms a simple glass of wine into an educational journey that elevates the entire dining experience. For anyone seeking not just exceptional wine but an authentic connection with those who serve it, Ungrafted deserves to be your next destination in San Francisco.

Recommended dishes: Churros Salted Caramel Coconut Cream, Za'Atar Pull Apart Bread Labne, Deviled Eggs with Salmon Roe, Okinawa Sweet Potato Japanese BBQ Sauce Dill Cream
I have been multiple times. The wine selection is wonderful, varied, and comprising a sampling of grapes from the whole world.
The staff is very knowledgeable (I’m pretty sure everyone is a sommelier). They are super nice and willing to engage with me at my level of wine knowledge.
The food is great. Everything I sampled was delicious. Stand outs: braised ribs, fried chicken with polenta and summer truffles, and the japanese sweet potato appetizer.
Kid-friendliness: There is a short table with crayons and books at the back of the restaurant floor.
Wheelchair accessibility: I’m no expert but I’m pretty sure all passage ways and at least one of the 3 toilets is ADA compliant.

We had a wonderful time! The wine selection is amazing and our server was very knowledge about the wines and food. Was the perfect stopover for lunch in the city while driving through on our way to celebrate Thanksgiving with family. Thank you!

Fantastic food from Chef David Aviles, trained at Acadia and other fine restaurants in Chicago. Here the dishes are familiar and approachable, with a spicy twist or a zest of surprise. Great selection of wines, beers and some interesting non-alcoholic options (try their sparkling Riesling!) Warm-industrial setting, knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Restaurantji Recommends
The team consists of well seasoned sommes, and their food style is approachable, new American with great technique and complete flavor profiles that compliment their wine selection to a T.
They source some ingredients from the neighborhood; are quietly Michelin level, quality driven without trying too hard.
Their perspective is seasonal and constantly evolving/rotating which I appreciate bc it’s my neighborhood haunt. I never get bored.
I just finished my first wine class with Tasha and loved it, can’t wait to come back.
I recommend bringing a friend for dinner bc you’ll want a multi course experience that Kelsey, Madison and Tasha can help curate.

Ungrafted is my happy place in San Francisco. I dine here frequently and it is always an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, which sets the perfect tone for a memorable evening.
Owners Rebecca and Chris are both master sommeliers who have curated an outstanding wine program at their restaurant. The wine selection is unparalleled. Each bottle is carefully selected, offering a diverse range of options that cater to every palate. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their wines, providing insightful recommendations that have enhanced our meals.
It's such a welcoming, unpretentious environment! Everyone that works there goes out of their way to remember who you are so that you're welcomed back by your first name when you return for a second visit.
The cuisine is exceptional. Each dish is crafted with the finest ingredients and presented beautifully. The flavors are exquisite, and the menu perfectly complements the impressive wine list.
They have a super fun, affordable wine club and once you're a member you can attend their monthly wine club socials. As an extrovert, it's definitely the highlight of my month socially. My partner and I have made a lot of friends through Ungrafted (as most of ours left SF during the pandemic).
Ungrafted is a gem for wine lovers and food enthusiasts alike. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a fun night out in SF for food and wine!

Great place for a bit of great wine picked by the husband and wife team of master sommeliers and a decent menu. It might seem out of the way, but that makes it even nicer.
Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome, but there isn't a lot for them to see or do. It's just a great place to relax and enjoy great wines and fod

The food...really..... nothing special....Bread $10, French fries $8... Pork ribs $25......It looks like the pork ribs were sous vide, but the smell of pork was too strong...ㅠThe bread... not so good... the fries were very salty...To drink wine?...... The glass wine, Syrah Carbe Sauvignon, was not good...
