Great service and really good food

Now this is not your regular spot. A little pricey but well worth the experience. I'm sorry I did not take pics this day. But I can say there was nothing but clean plates and empty drink glasses.

PRE-COVID. YUMMMMMMM. Surprisingly sooooo freakn tasty and unique at the same time...although my expectations were a little lower than usual since this place was located within a hotel, there were so many dishes here that I just can't forget and legit CRAVE....all...the...time. This joint is large and spacious, carrying a nice casual new American vibe and menu. Service was attentive and relaxed which I appreciated, while also very considerate - we actually came with a sleeping baby and (without asking) they offered to sit us in a more quiet area which we def. took them up on - it was not necessary and very nice for them to jump on it right off the bat. Let's dig in: (1) Smash fries - sooooo beautifully crispy, hot, and tasty. Perfectly seasoned and comes with ketchup and a yummy chipotle aioli dipping sauce. (2) Braised octopus - also very tasty, nice fresh veggies, unique and good sauce overall, while octopus was tender but did wished it had a bit more char to it. (3) Milk bread - sooooooooo delicate and delicious. The bread were soft buttery pillows, oh and if that wasn't enough there's more creamy homemade lavender butter on the side as well to lather on (which is a must btw!) (4) Pimento dip & chips - HOLYYYYY SHIZZZ. This was one of my fave things here, I legit have not had anything like this since (& crave it all the time). The red pepper chips had a great texture and taste to it, while the cheesy pimento dip was so flavorful, creamy, and unique as well. (5) Roasted Jidori Peking Chicken - this was the only thing that fell a little short from our expectations. It was tasty overall, but not amazing. The chicken was cooked nice and tender. Fried rice and veggies were OK, and I did like their green onion/ginger oil rendition - BUT that Chicken au jus sauce just tasted mediocre to me, similar to a watered down soy sauce that was just not my thang. (6) Grandmother's bolognese - this was tasty, the flavor was really meaty with a great fresh tang to it as well, noodles were cooked perfectly al dente - but just wished the dish was hotter it was slightly lukewarm when it arrived. (7) Urban burger with fries - great tasty burger. Juicy flavorful THICC beef, fresh standard veggies, great aioli sauce, and beautiful buttery buns. Also the FRIES were super crispy and perfectly seasoned! (8) Mango sticky rice dessert - such a surprise, unique...modern...AND FREAKN BOMB!! This is a staple in my culture so I always get excited to see if any place can do a modern version of it AND DO IT RIGHT. The mango passion fruit mouse was tasty and refreshing, while the mango jelly and coconut meringue added nice sweet touches and AMAZING textures +++ The coconut sticky rice, was perfectly warm and the perfect amount of sweetness to top it off and complete each bite. (9) Beer flight - mix and match, forgot what we chose but this was def. a great deal - we chose mostly light wheat beers that were all tasty.

Staff was wonderful, a smile on all faces.Food was excellent. Menu very eclectic, do not recommend for fussy eaters.Very noisy. 5 of us sat at the round table in the front corner and it was virtually impossible to have a conversation.5th star lacking only due to noise.

Nice and cozy little place with great food and service. One person in our party was a vegetarian and had no problems fining a couple options to choose from. Great wine list and nice sized portions. Our server was very familiar with the menu and made some great recommendations. Can't wait to go back.

The food was good, service not so good! Don't remember the waiter's name but he had no clue as to how to be polite. He even got my drink wrong. Long story short, we talked to the General Manager, Shefali Sharma (didn't know she was the manager when we talked to her.) She helped us out a lot, gave me the right drink and helped us out in what to order as my husband and I have never been to the restaurant before. Excellent job Shefali, and thanks so much for all your help!

Lively atmosphere (although borderline raucous), typical of a weekday upscale bar spot. Best deal in the house is definitely the 4-beer flight for $11.Highly recommend the Aged Pimento Cheese with Shrimp Crackers and Bolognese. The Steak was unfortunately tough despite being done medium rare.

We had an ethnic dish of rice pickled vegetables, pork belly and some other ingredients. Very interesting and tasty. We will certainly be back again for more, interesting dining experiences. The waitperson was helpful, supportive without being overbearing. Regrettably for them, the corona virus diminished the number of folks sharing the experience, but nevertheless well attended.

Nicely decorated - like the lightbulbs. Our server was friendly and informative. He directed us to the best items on the menu The regular chef was absent and there was a sub. My friend ordered the pork tenderloin and it was undercooked - raw in the middle - twice. She finally switched to the fish, which was great. The house special chicken was good, the mushroom soup delicious. The short ribs were a little dry, and the gnocchi was tough. (It was described as crunchy, which would have been good if it was still soft in the middle, but it wasn't). I don't think I would return.

Reservations helpful. Loved the sticky rice.

We were originally put in the bar seating area near the door and it was way too noisy and drafty. The hostess was nice enough to move us to the main dining area which was quieter and more intimate. We got the Bibimbap and Peking Chicken and both were exquisite dishes. Very nicely prepared, flavorful, and served compactly. If coming back to this area again, we would definitely come back.

Booked between Parts 1 and 2 of Harry Potter. Easy to get to, table ready, efficient service, good food and done with plenty of time to get back to the theater. This is a good pick.

This was our first time here. We were looking for place that opened early since we had an evening play. Wanted to be able to walk to dinner from our hotel and then to the theatre. The menu had plenty to choose from. Variety on desserts could have been better. We did have the lemon sorbet which was very good. Would return.

I ate dinner here with colleagues and cannot say enough nice things about the service. The food did not disappoint either. I ordered the Berkshire Pork Tenderloin which was delicious. But, the side was over the top! Regardless of what protein you order, don't skip the Charred Sweet Yams. I have been craving them since the day I left SF.

This was my first time here. There were empty tables when we arrived. And I’m unsure what took so long for us to get serviced. But our waitress apologized. I had the tuna—a bit spicy for me. But I loved the fried rice. At the end, our waitress took 20% off of our dinner tab. Thanks.
