I have to praise the courtesy and service of the staff. The restaurant was comfortable and well appointed. The food, however, was simply not to my liking. Part of it was probably a mismatch of tastes, but part of it was technical - the pizza was wet in the center, suggesting that the dough/crust wasn't properly fired. I understand the flour used is a specific type, but I simply did not enjoy it. I ate half the pizza but couldn't finish.

We had a wonderful and cozy dinner on Christmas Eve. Delicious Italian fare, made with love and served with care. Exceptional service from friendly staff who's pride for the art of the experience is apparent. We'll be back!

I love this spot! Amazing food and I'm super picky with pizza... Great wine, selection, and great service.

We took our family visiting from out of town to Uva. Our bottle of Nero Di Troia, made from a red grape from Italy's Puglia region was full-bodied and had notes of dark fruit. The burrata was creamy and tasted great spread on the puccia bread with prosciutto. We had the carbonara pizza that was on special and it was just right in consistency and full of flavor. I've eaten at UVA Enoteca a number of times since they opened a couple years ago and have enjoyed all of the dishes so far. The staff are knowledgeable, welcoming, and give us the Italy fix we need by talking about the food and culture!

Had a great time with a group of friends for our end of year get together! I highly recommend for large groups, food hit the spot.

Antonio was able to serve our family reunion (party of 9) in a single table. The prix fixe menu was great, the pacing was wonderful, and the service was very attentive but not intrusive. It's everything we could have wanted for a family reunion meal and we are grateful.

We celebrated a birthday dinner - we had very kind, attentive service - everything was delicious! Favorite was a butternut squash, balsamic vinegar & arugula pizza, which we shared as an appetizer. We had expert advice on the wine list. All the pasta dishes we had were really good. Then decadent budino and panna cotta for desert, plenty to share among 5 of us. I look forward to going back - a great Italian restaurant in the lower Haight!!

Couldn’t fault it! The server was so passionate and knowledgeable about their food! Extremely accommodating. The food was absolutely fantastic, one of the best Italians I’ve ever had. Thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. Strongly recommend!

Uva Enoteca is a hidden gem on haight street! The food tastes incredibly authentic, and the team takes care to use high quality ingredients, many which are imported directly from Italy. Highly recommend trying their pizza & pairing it with their amazing wine selection, and make sure to save room for dessert + espresso at the end😋

I just hosted a fantastic low stress birthday party for 17 at the authentic italian, small, charming, friendly, casually elegant and clean Uva Enoteca. The food, service and vibe were top-notch! The owner, Antonio and his staff were professional and friendly and made sure we were happy. This is my now my favorite restaurant.

Had not been to Uva Enoteca... it's a bit hidden away for an upscale Italian (Puglia) restaurant, in the lower Haight. I was really pleasantly surprised. The pasta was interesting, and well prepared. Portions were reasonable. We had a buffalo mozz with persimmon seasonal salad that was excellent. The only "meh" was the bread - I'm sure it's authentic and there's nothing wrong with it, but it's just a soft white flat bread. The eggplant dish tasted like eggplant, not a mess of melted cheese. Really well done. They offer a nice selection of wines by the glass. Did not spend a lot of time with the rest of the list.

In the past year this has become our favorite local restaurant. My husband wanted to have a gathering of friends there for his birthday and we were impressed with how flexible Antonio was and how much of an amazing value the prix fixe menu was for larger parties!!
