Although Yelp reviews were mediocre (3.9), we decided to try it after reading through a few recent great reviews. I took my boyfriend, mom, and sister. As soon as we walked in, the space felt welcoming and cozy. Beautiful lighting, soft music, and a warm design. We were greeted by the owner, who kindly walked us through their concept and menu. The menu has a great variety of pugliese dishes, and is friendly to vegetarians and vegans (two of us were). We ordered the cauliflower and burrata antipasti, two different orecchiette dishes, the vegan pizza, and the ravioli in the specials menu. I wish I had more positive comments about the food. We enjoyed the antipasti, although the bread did not impress. It tasted a bit too "flour-y". I would've also added a bit of acidity (splash of lemon, perhaps) to the cauliflower dish. When I tasted my sundried tomato pesto orrechiette, my mouth felt instantly overwhelmed by the saltiness (I wish I had savoured the sweetness of the tomatoes more). I shared this feedback with our waiter. The broccoli rabe and sausage orrechiette dish felt completely plain and flat after trying the sundried tomato one. The pizza was good, but nothing I'd come back for. My mom also commented her ravioli dish was simple in taste. Between us, we commented that this place was nice and the people running it were fit to massively improve the food. Best of luck!
I'm so happy to have come across Uva Enoteca. All of the dishes that we tried were delicious and well-prepared. Our server was attentive, kind, and patient. I will definitely return!
I love UVA, one of the best restaurants in the city. Food has always been great and the staff is cordial and welcoming!

Uva Enoteca is authentic food from the Puglia region of Italy. We loved all the appetizers, particularly anything with the buffalo mozzarella. I had a special that had pasta with meat sauce with a little melted mozzarella on top - excellent. Wine list is strong, nearly all Italian.
Dinner was delish and the service excellent. When we go back, we'll go on a Monday or Tuesday night instead of a Saturday night to avoid how noisy it was. All in all, one of the best meals we've had in SF.
6 of us were looking for a place with gluten-free options, and Uva came up on the search. We called and were able to get a table right away.
The food was lovingly prepared, and everyone's meal was delicious. The appetizers, salads, and entrees were outstanding. A very nice wine selection. Even though we were filled from dinner, we had the sour cherry tart and espresso for dessert. I highly recommend!
Dietary restrictions: There were a couple gluten-free entrée that were very good 👍

6 of us had first reservation of the night- Amazing service-knowledgeable, kind and professional service-We ordered almost all the recommended dishes-appetizer olives-fantastic,grilled, marinated veggies super-house made bread/oil terrific. The 2 orichetti dishes were great, but the almond pesto dish needed salt(sorry, table full of Italians, bound to be honest)the rigatoni,lovely-light ,and the truffle pizza was stellar! wine rec was ON POINT-Sour Cherry tart was sweeter than described, hoped for fresher/tart experience, the choc/hazlenut with breads was good, but nothing unusual- Tiramisu was UNREAL-worth the price of admission-honestly! We can't wait to come again!
Very good food at a reasonable price. Burrata appetizer was very good with enough to share as were the beets. Selection of pastas were very good.

Worth traveling to the Haight for this a fantastic Italian restaurant, you will feel in Europe! The owner, Antonio, is incredibly kind and accommodating. We had a large party with dietary restrictions and they customized the prefix menu perfectly. The food was amazing, especially the BURRATA E PROSCIUTTO, LA PUGLIESE, and BUDINO CIOCCOLATO. The service was outstanding and the wine selection impressive. Highly recommend!
