I have to praise the courtesy and service of the staff. The restaurant was comfortable and well appointed. The food, however, was simply not to my liking. Part of it was probably a mismatch of tastes, but part of it was technical - the pizza was wet in the center, suggesting that the dough/crust wasn't properly fired. I understand the flour used is a specific type, but I simply did not enjoy it. I ate half the pizza but couldn't finish.
We had a wonderful and cozy dinner on Christmas Eve. Delicious Italian fare, made with love and served with care. Exceptional service from friendly staff who's pride for the art of the experience is apparent. We'll be back!
We took our family visiting from out of town to Uva. Our bottle of Nero Di Troia, made from a red grape from Italy's Puglia region was full-bodied and had notes of dark fruit. The burrata was creamy and tasted great spread on the puccia bread with prosciutto. We had the carbonara pizza that was on special and it was just right in consistency and full of flavor.
