Forgot breakfast, needed something fast between meetings. Found V Cafe.
This place doesn’t look like much from the outside – just a small corner shop. But the food hits way above its weight class.
Got their egg sandwich on a croissant with added ham. Ready in minutes, which was clutch. The croissant was fresh and flaky, the egg and melted cheese were spot-on, but the real standout was their mixed vegetable spread. Whatever they put in there turned a solid breakfast sandwich into something actually memorable.
I’ll definitely be back.

This is the best cafe in San Francisco and I mean it, order the bacon egg and cheese croissant, or the scallion pancakes, everything on the menu is exceptional. When I come to V cafe, my heart is happy and my appetite is satisfied. I will always come back to this cafe!

The BEST bacon egg and croissant in the city. Trust me I've tried many.... Plus the folks here are so nice! I always feel welcome, appreciated, and full after I leave this joint!

Enjoyed the breakfast burrito, which came out very quickly. Very generous with the avocado and bacon.

One of the best breakfast burritos in SF! I also really like their boba and spam musubi and unagi musubi. Their meat lovers burrito rivals Il Canto (I like that it is smaller and cheaper and has spam!) Good spicy aioli and lots of meat. It’s grilled to perfection and doesn’t ruin me for the day by putting me in a food coma.
Prices are reasonable. It’s run by an adorable and kind and hardworking husband-and-wife duo. They do a pretty good DoorDash business as well.
Fresh ingredients and good quality made with love!

I ordered delivery, so I can't comment on service or atmosphere. That being said, the food here is so unremarkable that I wholeheartedly regret my entire order. The miso soup was so bland it tasted like water. The passion fruit smoothie shows an image of an ACTUAL smoothie with ACTUAL passion fruit seeds, leading you to believe there is real fruit in it. It was a syrupy nightmare that bore no resemblance to a blended smoothie; it was more like a fake sweet slushie. Last but arguably the very least was a cheap chicken katsu curry that tasted like a menu item from a TV dinner Panda Express. The katsu breading? Tasted fresh out of the microwave... the curry??? Need I say more??? Save ur money, save your taste buds. The only redeeming experience about ordering from this establishment is that you don't have to anymore! You're welcome.

The sidewalk sign caught my eye and I had to stop in for some sesame balls. Fried to order! So crispy and nutty on the outside and perfectly sweet on inside.

Very satisfying spot for a quick bite if you're craving a poke bowl (generous portions) or a small bite. They have a great selection of other options like spam masubi and croissant sandwiches. Stopped by during my lunch and grabbed it togo. Sweet owners as well! Will be coming back
Edit: I come back once a week for my poke bowl fix lol and I suggest asking for light sauce otherwise it may be too saucy / sweet :)
Nice place for a quick meal. Good portion sizes and very fast service. Was simple, fresh & tasty.

Stumbled upon V Cafe LLC on Kearny St while looking for a good breakfast sandwich and coffee that wouldn't wreck my wallet — and I’m so glad I did! This place is literally a hole-in-the-wall, with just enough space inside to place your order. No seating inside, but there are a couple of tables and chairs right outside if you want to hang around.
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff and immediately shown the tablet to place my order. What impressed me most? She already started preparing my food even before I finished placing and paying for the order — talk about fast service!
I went with the deluxe breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel (see photo), and wow, it did not disappoint. Generous portion, great quality, and easily one of the better breakfast sandwiches I’ve had in the city — especially for the price. Their menu is noticeably cheaper than most other spots in the area, and the value is unbeatable.
If you’re in FiDi and want a quick, satisfying breakfast that doesn’t cost $15+, check this place out. Hidden gem for sure!
