Popular Vietnamese Noodle soup with a choice of noodles, Beef and rice dishes. The tofu salad is very refreshing.Vegetarian options: The tofu salad is greatParking: It's hard to find a spot in this neighborhood. Take the Muni if you can, or you may have to circle and/or walk several blocks from a parking spot.Kid-friendliness: Nice atmosphere for kids and Noodle soup is pretty easy.

The soup was good but the noodles were overcooked, very soft and soggy.

This lovely Vietnamese restaurant was recommended by my hairdresser Lisa (shoutout to Lisa's Hair Design in the Castro)! We ordered the Well Done and Rare Beef Noodle Soup with thin noodles and it was delicious.

Phenomenal Vietnamese foods! The chef, Ms. Hoa, is a super talented chef. We had private menu (requires 1-2 days advance notice) and every dish was excellent! Taste is very balanced, both elevated yet homey. Wait staffs were attentive and professional. Will be back again!

Food tastes good, but the portions are smaller than on pictures and a menu, and some items are presented incorrectly

This is a really great neighborhood spot for a casual lunch. The food is fantastic and the service is fast. The whole team is very welcoming. I will note that the portions are very large and you can definitely share most things or get at least two meals out of any of the entrees!

The ambiance was terrific - reminded me of Hoi An with the hanging lanterns and portraits on the wall. Service was excellent. Very fast to take order and food came out even faster. The food was good but wasn't amazing. Maybe it's because I just came back from Vietnam and the bar was set higher. Nonetheless, I would come back. The bun rieu and pho were good. Lovely portions!

Heard about this place from a friend. I visit some friends on a weekly basis a few doors up the block but never set foot in here due to my schedule. I finally made a point to come here for a late afternoon dinner around 4:30 pm on a December Thursday. There was only a couple finishing their meals along the left wall when I walked in. The waitress gave me my choice of tables so I took the center two-seater closest to the kitchen, figuring it'd be easier to serve me.It's scary when you want to try everything on the menu . Dining alone and having a late lunch made this that much more difficult. I decided to start with the imperial rolls (yelp.com/user_local_phot…);seeing posted Yelp photos, I knew that enjoy this given the skin for the rolls; the filling (yelp.com/user_local_phot…) didn't disappoint either. I tore half of one lettuce leaf and added the rice noodles, pickled veggies, and one roll piece before pouring some fish sauce on top. It was a little messy to eat but delicious. For my main, I ordered their signature house special beef rib pho (yelp.com/user_local_phot…), opting for the flat rice noodle (ho fun) (yelp.com/user_local_phot…). The short rib is quite impressive (yelp.com/user_local_phot…), size wise, meatiness, and flavorwise; I took only a bite, knowing my appetite couldn't handle the whole rib. The five spice broth where it was likely cooked shined. The noodles are on the thinner side than Cantonese style ho fun. The broth is the star along with the variety of meats in this bowl; the soup had a rich texture without being oily or fatty. For my beverage, I basically ordered dessert with the Pina colada puree (yelp.com/user_local_phot…). It was more a slushy and on the icy side, making it less sweet than I expected, definitely a good thing. My leftovers, the rib and the rest of the imperial roll, became my lunch later in the week. The young gal who hosted and waited on my table was cordial and efficient, being the only person working the dining room as I ate (note the time I was there mentioned above). It was a filling meal and I enjoyed everything that I had. I hope to bring friends with me next time so I can try more menu items.*** Side note: I'd seen a friend post FB photos of a multi course family style meal. Do ask about that as I will ask my friend next time I see him.

They have a long vegan menu. I really like the vegan steak and tomato rice. There are many vegan phos with vegan proteins.

I like the food. But the food is overpriced by a greedy owner.Exhibit A. Extra bread for bone marrow is priced at $5 for … 4 cracker sized pieces.Exhibit B. Any restaurant that charges San Francisco mandate fees should be ashamed of yourself.

One of my favorites Vietnamese restaurants in SF and it’s walking distance to my place which is so convenient. Between my hubby and I, we ordered pretty much most of the dishes on menu and they are all amazing . Today I got French style black pepper steak , fried chicken wings and northern style pho and my friend loved all of them . Steak is so tender and portion was huge . Chicken was so crispy and juice inside . Highly recommend!

Place is nice and cozy. Little shop around the corner. Been here several times already. The bone marrow with toast is something different for me. Service is attentive & kind. 8/10
