Great grab and go bahn mi sandwiches! The quality of the pork was excellent. Super friendly staff. Pickled veggies were great, good bread. It an unassuming little shop so I was surprised to find how high quality it was — rivals some of the best sandwich places in SF. Definitely a neighborhood gem!!

We went here yesterday and picked up the shrimp spring rolls, and a pork and chicken banh mi. The food was delicious and very affordable. The service was great! Very friendly. There is no seating available so we did get our food to go. Great little place to pop into 😊

Edit: This places has new owners since March 2023.It's a cheap place to eat. It was my first time here, I got the beef sandwich. It was okay when I first bit into it but I had to save the rest for my lunch break a couple hours later. It did not hold up. You could tell the meat isn't fresh. Not sure when they cooked it but the sandwich was made super fast so I'm sure they cook it in big batches but it didn't taste good. The texture is also very chewy with some weird tendon pieces that I had to spit out. Never tried their other sandwiches so maybe those are better but I do not recommend the beef. The bread is okay, nothing to write home about. Not sure if I'll give this place a second try.

You may be confused by the name like I was. They do not sell submarines that can go in water. They sell sandwiches and food.To get over the initial sadness of not being able to purchase a submarine to explore the ocean, I ate a lot of their food.Man, is it good. And affordable! It's a great place to stop for lunch, as it's right across from the BART station. The owners are friendly. The spring rolls are my favorite.

The spring rolls, the best..the burger's juicy...awesome owners,hands on...👍🏼
The bahn mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) are fresh, tasty, and well sized. I appreciate that their bread rolls are on the softer side for bahn mi - no hard crust to crumble apart while you eat. The pork bahn mi features coarsely ground pork with subtle seasoning, quite tasty. Tofu also is great. Veggies very fresh. The spring rolls are awesome and come with plenty of dipping sauce.

Steak sandwich was delicious
Get the pork bahn mi. You won't be disappointed!
You order at the counter and then wait outside while they make your food. The shop is at a major bus stop...so, if your bus comes and your food isn't ready, either miss the bus or take a loss. Don't hold them at fault if your bus comes before your food.
