Delicious food and cute atmosphere. Service was a little slow as it seemed like a 3-man show running the entire restaurant, although they were clearly working very hard to keep everything moving. The servers were very friendly, didn’t make us feel rushed, provided great recommendations, and were kind enough to turn on the outdoor heaters upon request. We ate so much, we practically waddled back home. We will definitely eat here again!

This is my go to spot in the Richmond. If I want a chill neighborhood place to get a great cocktail and a bite this is the place. Sit at the bar, watch a game and have a drink and a snack. (Old Bay chips and onion dip!) Or take a date and have a proper intimate evening. Wine, beer, cocktails, they have all of that tough guy! Try the fried chicken or mussels. The Deviled eggs are something else. I can also hear myself think there. Not too noisy. The staff is nothing but friendly and welcoming. A real neighborhood gem of a place. Highly recommend.

Knocking down to 1 star because of the trash that is constantly left by Violets all over the sidewalk and street. Every morning there’s garbage strewn all over the corner. This business doesn’t care about its community. As for the food, it’s wildly overpriced. The burger is bland and is 3x the cost of the burgers you can find at Bill’s just 20 ft. away. Cocktails and vibe are quality, but I wouldn’t waste your time.

Food here is absolutely delicious and the vibes are way better under new ownership BUT the service is mid at best, food staff often grumpy. The bartenders here are great and super funny, but there’s some runners/waiters who are grumpy and rude, they always seem annoyed that guests are coming in to eat, they should stop offering 9:30-9:45 reservations if they’re going to be rude when people come in for them. However, the pastelitos and prime rib are my two absolute fav meals in SF.

The apps hit, deviled eggs & fried chicken, my main (tacos) were not the best, there are tacos on every street corner in California, these were edible but that's about it. The others enjoyed their mains.

This is a very nice restaurant. I came here with a large group of people and enjoyed eating there. The restaurant was quite fancy and the food was excellent. The service was fairly friendly and the overall ambiance was excellent. I highly recommended this place and make sure you get a reservation here. I give them 5 stars ⭐️

This used to be a favorite for myself and my fiance. We had not come here for a few months due to work and being busy and where looking forward to returning.

The service was solid, however the food was a different story. The menu was all new, which is not a bad thing, so my partner and I decided to order new things. She got the pulled pork sandwich which was sauceless, poorly seasoned and incredibly fatty it really did just taste of salt and pork fat. I got the cioppino, a favorite dish of mine, and was similarly disappointed. Cioppino is meant to be a stew and there was nearly no broth in the dish and none of the seafood tasted like the broth that was served. I was excited for a classic with a latin flair but I got unseasoned seafood that seemed to be prepared away from the stew itself leading to a very bland mix that neither I or my partner enjoyed.

I do not mean to be over harsh, however, at least the dishes I did sample needed work. I will say all the cocktails where lovely and well crafted but I just cannot say the same for the food, far from it in fact. If the price point was cheaper I would give it a pass but paying 40+ dollars for a subpar entree is hard to justify.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Violets. The staff/owners were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is intimate and pleasant with soft lighting and elegant table settings. The wine selection was impressive, featuring a wide range of interesting and unique wines from around the world.

The food was truly exceptional, with each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. My husband's steak was cooked to perfection and melted in his mouth. I thoroughly enjoyed my pulled pork sandwich with garlic fries, which were perfectly seasoned. We finished our meal with the decadent chocolate creme brulee, which was the perfect ending to a delightful dinner.

We highly recommend Violets for a special occasion or a romantic evening out.
