What an experience ! Uncle is the best. Thank you so much. You have to visit this place if you love tea and you’re in SF.
rude service, hangup the call immediately after I asked whether they have a specific tea for sale.
Kevin was amazing, so friendly and helpful. It was an A+ experience and the tea was all great!
The person running the store was absolutely lovely! When I came in close to closing, he offered me free leftover tea to take to-go and generously let me use their restroom. Great atmosphere and customer service!
I took my Mandarin students there to taste tea, the owner was super nice, he served us awesome tea, my students really enjoyed talking with him in Mandarin and getting little gifts from him too.
Very fun free tea tasting experience, the guy was very knowledgeable.
Awesome tea store with a lot of variety. They served us up any tea we wanted and were very friendly. I wish they had smaller sizes for purchase, but overall a great experience
I would give this place 10 stars if possible. Kenny is a blast and very knowledgeable about tea. Very nice place to sit and take a break and learn about tea. 🙏🏻🫖
Have an impressive experience and learning here. Thanks for the free tea tasting and the restroom!
Tea shop is nice, the old uncle there is a character. Their tea is… it’s ok. Mid to low range but priced on the higher end of the spectrum.
My issue is with his daughter who also works the tea bar. She was pretty rude and gruff, mean to her father, and interjected into our tasting with her father to cut things short and get us out.
I bought some tea to be nice. What really offended me, after all this, was she asked sbout my upcoming marriage, insinuated my wife was a gold digger/prostitute, and warned me to “watch my wallet”.
There’s another Vital Leaf across the street. The guy running that one is more patient, more focused on the tea, and overall offers a better and more professional experience.
(And not that it matters but the Patek Philippe that the host from this location shows off is a cheap fake lol)

"Oncle" share tea passion with love. Best experience in chinatown
Thank's for all Oncle ♡
Love the owner! Really awesome experience and had a great time at the tea tastings.
Chris is the best!!! Thank you for the tasting
Uncle Gee is a gem. We found this quaint little tea shop while we were walking in Chinatown. Immediately, Uncle Gee greeted us with open arms and provided amazing hospitality. He had great stories and explained in depth the purpose of each tea. I have found the location to buy my tea.
While there is a large variety of teas, he emphasizes that you drink only the ones that suit you personally.
I am an tea drinker and he still managed to teach me a lot of different facts that I didn’t know beforehand.
I will definitely return whenever I am in California and I will definitely shop online for my future purchases.
Free tea tasting is an absolute blast! The main employee is very funny but informative as well. We enjoyed our ~20 minute tasting and all walked away with a bag or two of newly purchased loose leaf tea to enjoy.
