You can’t beat home cooking in San Francisco like this guy. It’s simple and amazing. The owner “V” demonstrates compassion on levels that are barely noticeable anymore in the public eye.
He usually has one employee/helper. And it’s an Asian woman in the back.

Decided to try this place over a hotel breakfast. Smart move on my part. Fresh cooked breakfast bowl, cheap and super good. Little hole-in-the-wall back by the elevator past the guard. Almost missed it.

This is the best-kept secret in the financial district. The food is all prepared from scratch, from fresh ingredients, in generous portions, at prices that beat anything within ten blocks. The staff are friendly, and while it may be tucked into the left side of an office lobby, it's worth the bit of exploration.
